Going to post things backward and put this draft part up before my new owner post since I'm crunched on time and want to get my expectations up before the bar reveals.
New GM loligag has a clear vision for the team, but that means starting from scratch. With more roster holes than players, it won't be built year one. But with a multitude of picks, the team has a jump start on that vision.
1.2 WR Rico Serbicki - Rico leaves college with all the tools, but was underutilized in Maryland and will need some time to fully develop. Once he does, he looks to be a top league weapon for a decade. Guess: 18/72 Post week 2: 39/75
1.30 TE Mickey Hoover - Mickey brings a league ready 3 down skillset in both the passing and bllocking game. 43/65 Post week 2: 43/51
2.1 T Harrison Parker - Harrison grades as an elite road grader with an eye popping combine to back it up. He may struggle pass blocking from the LT position, but he should easily find a home anywhere else on the line. 38/ 62 Post week 2: 33/59 or 31/63 if I change him to LG
2.30 QB Desmond Cox - The team reached a bit to pick Desmond here as there were plenty of better players on their board. But the team targetted him as the best and only QB scheme fit with a matching set of tools after passing on Kempthorne at 1.2. 22/46 Post week 2: We accidentally drafted a high school QB, 8/24 cut from the team
3.3 C Gino Rainwater - Young and undeveloped, Gino will likely take a few years to find his stride, but looks to build into a solid starting center for the team in a few years with a lot of upside. 8/60 Post week 2: 24/57
3.30 CB Maxwell Bensen - While there has been a huge focus on offense in the draft, Max's skillset jumped off the page as a tier above players on both sides of the ball. The team should have a starting lockdown man corner with this pick. 28/54 Post week 2: 24/38 still has what I was looking for.
4.2 RB Lewis Winslett - Lewis looks like a plug n play 3rd down RB if playcalling is creative enough to keep him on the edges of the line. He brings exciting electricity to the position rather than stability. 24/46 Post week 2: 28/34
4.32 G Abraham Adler - Abraham is the complete opposite of pick 4.2. With low bust, low ceiling potential, he looks to fall into a serviceable starter or backup role. 25/48 Post week 2: 30/42
5.1 RB Nathaniel Hennings - Similar to Lewis but with less exciting playmaking and a little more predictability. He has 3rd down back properties as well but has a chance to pop as a 1/2 down back. 24/45 Post week 2: 37/43
6.3 T Bubba Midget - Bubba is anything but a Midget. At 6'8" and 330 lbs he would be a monster Tackle if his combine warrior profile turns into real field play. 22/44 Post week 2: 18/37
7.2 ILB Chester Chatterlyre - Chester is small and wasn't invited to the combine, so there's a lot of questions. But he was a special teams Ace in college and is a smart player that may fight his way onto the roster. With a name like Chester, he sounds like a bring your lunch pail, first one in the gym kind of player. 21/37 Post week 2: 22/36
