(Miami, FL, AP) Citing issues with the playing turf, and lack of public support to fix it, the new owner of the Miami Vice has announced that the team will be relocating just 20 minutes up the road to Fort Lauderdale in time for the start of the 2075 season. "Everyone here is is a Dolphin fan. We can't really compete with that. The Mayor of Ft. Lauderdale has been more than accommodating in promising better facilities," Argot said, "Someone's going to get really hurt on that turf, and our depth can't afford any injuries." When asked about coming in mid-season after the sale finally became final, Argot said, "We have a bye this week so, we are going to re-evaluate everything. We have some amazing players on defense, and we may need to make some changes on offense. Even with all that, though, we're only one game out of the division lead." The Vice are currently 4-5, dropping their last two. Attendance at the stadium has dropped each year, filling less than half the 69,000 capacity for the past two years.
(Ft. Lauderdale, FL - AP) It was great news when new Miami Vice owner, Ken Argot, announced an agreement with the mayor to bring the Vice to Ft. Lauderdale. While some worry about what this might mean to public tax support for a new facility, other members of the Chamber of Commerce are excited. "The opportunity will bring in much-needed revenue, especially to those downtown," the chairman said, "And for those who can't get a seat for the Miami Dolphins, this will give them such an opportunity."
When asked about the team name, Argot, said with a smile, "All I know, is 'They'll be Dragons' for sure." A logo concept leaked on tik tok yesterday, along with a helmet concept.
