The Iowa City owner was generous enough to sit down with the media and answer a few questions. Thanks for your time Tom.

Who is your all time favorite Tribe player?
I have two favorite players. One of those players is WR Wade Peterson, who was drafted at 2.2. Peterson is 2nd all-time in receptions and tied for 3rd all-time in TD catches. Although a high 2nd round pick, he probably was my best 2nd round pick across all leagues. What’s ironic is that I almost traded away the pick. Part of my affinity for Peterson was this unbelievable play in the 2035 bowl game vs. the Newark Bulldogs (now Texas). Matt was the founder/leader of the IFL originally and he took the defeat graciously. By the way, Newark/Texas still has the best team record even though Matt has been gone for a while.

The other player is Roosevelt "Rosey" Fulcher. Rosey was a journeyman QB who had compiled a 3-9 record in 6 seasons. But after IWC signed him, he developed into one of the best game manager QBs I’ve had. In 7 seasons as a starter, he recorded only 1 bowl win but led the team to a 87-32-1 record. Fulcher’s overall rating was in the low 40s/high 30s range. But he had high completion percentages and could scramble to keep drives alive.

    Who is your current favorite?
No strong attachment to the current Tribe players. Probably Ben "Big Ben" Parker who in 2nd in IWC career sacks after only 7 seasons.

Do you think you have any non-qb future HOFers on the squad?
Quite a few I believe. Parker, NT Avery Rice, RB Jackson Battle, C Edgar "Cue Ball" Poole, T Eric "The Grill" Foreman.

How does this Iowa team compare to other teams you run?
Certainly better than Wichita where we had a rough year. I’m only in 3 leagues with my FFL Jets the best team by far.

Did you join the IFL and immediately turn the team into a 10 win team every year after?
I joined the IFL in 2030. However, Slimmikey had a nice draft prior to me taking over the team with a young franchise QB and 2 WRs on the roster.

Do you plan to ever miss the playoffs?
Lol, no!!!! But we did miss the playoffs in 2050.

If anyone else wants to join in on the fun, feel free to answer the questions in bold as they pertain to your team.

Nice idea and writeup, cool to get some thoughts from a pillar of the league (who often ends my season lol). The Grill will go down in the history books as an All-Time nickname.

When you're in the bowl that often, you end a lot of people's seasons.

The Grill is already locked into the HOF as the top HOFrated current tackle. Looks like an uphill battle for the rest of the lot so far.

IWC has not won a bowl in 15 seasons, so others have been ending my season as well.

            Here was my thinking.

Battle has averaged 1,400 yards per season despite missing 6 games due to injury and DNP coaches' decision. Barring injury or the dreaded short shelf life of some RBs, he should get to 12,000 career rushing yards. Most RBs at that level are in the HoF.

Rice has averaged 7.5 sacks per season and that would appear to be a solid projection over the next few seasons. However, he has a tougher road as there are only two DTs in the HoF.

Cue Ball Poole should be able to average 40 KRBs over the next 8 seasons. That would get him above 450 KRBs and in strong HoF territory. 500 KRBs would not be out of the question since o-linemen often do not retire after 12 years.

              Credit where it's due.

Battle has been a force across the league, should be a shoe-in.

Poole looks like he is on his way as well.

Morale of the story: don't doubt the Tribe run game.
