    of the Week - 2005, Week 16


    Julian Cartagena, QB,Columbia Fire












    Though we have not seen his name here as often as







    we
    are







    used to, Cartagena is
    still a force in this league and showed it once again. He had a near perfect
    day as Columbia crushes Hartford, 38-7. Julian threw 28 passes, completing an
    astounding 25 of them. This led to 345 yards and 4 passing TDs.














    Defensive Player
    of the Week - 2005, Week 16










    Richard Sibley,SS,Lansing Ogres









    Sibley and
    the Ogre defense kept hope



    alive


    of atleast
    finishing with a .500 record this season, a


    big improvement over last year. Sibley,
    against a recently hot Cleveland passing attack, had 2 INTs while giving up
    only 2 catches. He also had 4 tackles,2 assists, and 1 sack.














    Rookie of the
    Week - 2005, Week 16



    Alan
    Crespo, RB, Newark Bulldogs














    Crespo hits the
    200 yard mark for the second




    time this season.
    This time hitting 200 yards exactly, on 43 carries. His 2 TDs was all Newark needed
    in their 20-10 win over Fresno. This also set Crespo up to go over 2,000 yards for
    the season next week, as he sits at 1984 yards.

      For the seventh time







      this
      year







      Given completes over 65%
      of his passes in a game, going 21of 30. He had 262 passing yards with 4
      TD's on the day. Two of his TD passes came in the
      4th quarter, as the Toads pulled away for the 42-25 victory over Texas.

      Don Ferrell,OLB,Iowa







      City Snipe Hunters














      The


      Snipe Hunters
      shut down division foe Wichita to cap off


      their regular season and warm up
      for the post season. The 31-10 win was led on the defensive side
      by Ferrell's 11 tackles, 1 assist, 1 sack, and forced 1 fumble.














      Rookie of the
      Week - 2005, Week 17



      Bucky
      Beaver, RB, Fresno Chaos





















      Beaver ends his rookie season with one of his finest
      games of the year, and helps the Chaos end on a win. Fresno beat Anchorage 20-17 as
      Beaver rushes 23 times for 130 yards and 1 TD.
