ya its my tat, got it about 9 years ago when i was 18. It was free and done with a guys homemade tat gun,
I listen to a ton of stuff now, but I am pretty loyal to all the stuff I started listening to in those days....
Descendents and ALL are still 2 of my favorites
I have gotten back into The Dead Milkmen again right now
other then that, i'm a long time fan of a lot of the Fat Wreck Chords bands, have been since "those days", NOFX, Lagwagon, No Use For A Name....even with these last two getting more pop as they get older I still love the shit they do, I am getting older too after all
Propaghandi has always been a big favorite, I like the political stuff a lot, so Anti-Flag right now is pretty good too, and Bad Religion remains the same as always which is pretty decent stuff.
Always been a Screeching Weasel/Ben Weasel fan......(shit, if only I had thought about that, Screeching Weasels would have been a great team name)
there are a good 100+ bands that i like their stuff a lot but just can't think right now, have never been good at pulling band names out of my head. I like some new stuff I can tell you that, just can't name them right now. Not a big fan of the "MTV/radio" punk though, although some bands are ok as I always liked Green Day and MXPX is not too bad. Mostly I like going back and listening to the 80's and early 90's stuff, and some 70 stuff like the Sex Pistols and Ramones, even back into the 60's with a band like the Motor City 5....Op Ivy and the Descendents/ALL remian at the top always though...
on a side note, I will listen too a lot of stuff though, being a trucker I catch myself listening to the occasional country song, although mostly I am not too big of a fan. I love the Beattles but don't own much stuff of theirs, classic rock like the Steve Miller Band is good. I will even give rap/hip hop and the likes a chance....I like the stuff that sets itself apart, like N.E.R.D. is pretty decent stuff (by the way, VitoStallion if you are reading this, I like your music, its pretty good, and I love that you are an indy label guy).
one more note, Avril Lavign is NOT a "punk princess!" give me a fuckin break......My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

Wow, I can't believe it, that's mostly the same kind of stuff I used to listen to!
Then about five or six years ago I heard Refused, fuckin changed my life. Now almost everything I get is stuff that appears to be on the cutting edge.
I love the political stuff still though, AF, BR, Boy Sets Fire are amazing. The occassional darkness is good too, AFI, Tiger Army, Coheed and Cambria (one of those admittedly dreaded MTV/radio bands, but still somehow haunting or something).
As for older stuff, I was pretty big on the DC hardcore scene of the early 80's, definitely more so than the cali scene, even though I was barely a child at the time.
Interesting sidenote, I was born in the same hometown as Propaghandi....
Also really like classical alot....

thats cool. am like to listen to stuff i haven't heard all the time, but yeah most of my "collection" is the same old stuff I have always listened too. I grew up in eastern Washington state, and what we got thee was mostly west coast stuff, maybe heard of a couple bands like Fugazi that were from the east but not too many in those days, not the biggest town but we did get ome shows. Fifteen, who i should not have left off my listing, did a free show in a park once, that was cool, love Jeff Ott, one of the few names of guys i will bother to remember....
once i moved down here at 19 i was in even more of a musical blackhole, so the internet became more of a way to find out about bands, and when i get the time i will try to find stuff on bands i don't know.....
so why are you so suprised? a trucker who runs a FOF MP league is not your typical punk? :lol:My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

saved that for just the right moment huh? lol
one suggestion though, saving that picture with the file name "dykes.jpg" could be dangerous, after a while you may forget what it is and click on it thinking its a lesbian action shot and get a suprise.....

Hah, yeah, that's definitely a big part of it :POriginally posted by Cringerso why are you so suprised? a trucker who runs a FOF MP league is not your typical punk?
But seriously, it's more that I haven't encountered (online or IRL) anyone who was actually into punk for a looonnnngg time.

Damn, where you live in canada that you don't see a punk every now or then? Even down here I see them, although down here it seems like the most noticeable scene is the christian punk scene, which is not my thing. They can make decent music like anyone, and I have liked some....but not that much, a whole CD about Jesus is not my thing.... :lol:Originally posted by CydneyHah, yeah, that's definitely a big part of it :POriginally posted by Cringerso why are you so suprised? a trucker who runs a FOF MP league is not your typical punk?

But don't get me wrong, I definitely see them every now and then, it's just that they're typically of the fashion punk variety, and listen to stuff that I, in all punk snobbery of course, think is generally just crap.
