My wife likes Maroon 5 a lot. As for me, I can sit and listen to a lot of the newer "corporate" rock bands, I usually will not buy anything like that though because I am either not that into it, or I find that whole albums usually blow, also I just can't bring myself to pay anything over $12 for a full length CD.

But I listen to a lot on radio on the road, and as far as music on the radio I usually have it on new rock or classic. All those "The" bands are not bad, the White Stripes probably the one I liked best....

Not I.....I've actually found that the older I get, the more obscure stuff I listen to/search for. Always looking for the next thing I guess. Probably the most "corporate" of bands that I'm currently listening to though is Coheed and Cambria.

Coheed and Cambria, keep seeing the name, haven't checked it out yet though.......And man, when you drive around as much as I do, you just got to listen to the radio, even if it isn't that interesting. Gotta mix things up or you go nuts......atleast for me thats how it is..... B)

I really like them alot, very different. They're one of those "tell a story" bands, definitely influenced by alot of the post-hardcore experimentalism.
There isn't much for radio around here, so I never listen. Need to get one of those 80 gig mp3 players, load everything on it, and just let it go.

Not sure if that's a pic of you or the Cabby guy but they could easily be the same person with different hair/beard features it looks to me so if that's a pic of the Cabby then I gotta agree with Suicane.

I do like Maroon 5, but thats about it as far as new music goes. The only thing i've seen on MTV in the past year or so that I like is that Modest Mouse song but I really didn't like the rest of the album. I havn't listened to the radio in years outside of college radio in Philly so i would hardly know whats mainstream these days if I didn't have MTV on around me every night. As far as musical tastes I like all kinds of stuff from Public Enemy to Ben Folds. I don't have a genre preference, if I like it I like it, thats the way I look at it.

Hmmm, I kind of went for the Modest Mouse stuff, think theier other stuff is pretty good. But I have crap taste in music too, I was letting my wife hear the band called The Faint last night, basically modern New Wave, should have been done in the mid-80's, she thought I was crazy.

Old rap kicks ass BTW, Public Enemy, N.W.A., Too Short, and just a bunch of the old stuff (man I even had a Fat Boys album as a kid). I find myself in the opinion that rap and punk have a bit in common, especially the older stuff of each.

And Suicane, Ben Folds? You gonna get the new Ben Folds/William Shatner album?
