  • Jester should be happy!!

I am glad the Bears finally made a frickin' move to get a real QB.

Cutler has been traded to the Chicago Bears for two first-round picks, a third-round pick and quarterback Kyle Orton, FOXSports.com has learned. Denver will receive Chicago's first- and third-round pick in this year's draft, and Chicago's first-round pick in 2010, along with Orton. The Bears get Cutler and the Broncos' fifth-round pick this year.

I don't know much about Cutler but two 1sts and a 3rd for a 25 year old ProBowl QB rings nice to me.

Being a Broncos fan, I am extremely excited by this trade. I think we just robbed the Bears. 2 1sts? For a head case? Nicely done Denver. Now go and get a real QB.

Denver has had two good QB's but they can't get Elway out of their head.

Cutler has the arm strength of Elway. But thats it. He doesnt have the mental capacity to be a winner. Chicago fans will chew him up.
I agree that Denver needs to settle on a QB. And now their great HC can get one that fits his system.

The same Chicago fans that haven't had a great QB since...?

Lovie Smith and Jerry Angelo have the kid gloves of all kid gloves for QBs so he won't see very much pressure from inside the organization. And a strong arm is what's needed in Chicago so I think it has a good chance of working out.

Some of the highlights I've seen today show Cutler having the ability to buy time and hit the open receiver. I think this'll work great with Hester in the field.

I certainly don't want a Ryan Leaf case but from what I've read Jay saw the coach he liked (Shanahan) fired and then the new guy put him on the trading block. I'd be pissed too if I'm a young recent Pro-Bowl QB. Cutler's supposedly a childhood Bears fan too which should help with any emotional issues at least some.

Bears made a good move. Denver has to hope these 1st round picks pan out. Bears on the other hand got a established Pro Bowler at the most important position on a team.

That head coach in Denver isn't gonna last long. He is immature and in way over his head. Nice job idiot, pissing off your 25 year old Pro Bowl QB to where he wanted out. Then when he was showing off Cutler's throwback jersey on TV and smiling like that was all i needed to see about the guy. He looks like an arrogant asshole. Good luck with him Denver. LOL

                    Orton steps back....
                    Simms steps back...
                    Sanchez possibly steps back...

Denver fans will be calling for his head in two years. Denver is quite possibly the worst team in the AFC right now. Good job!

Cutler didnt fit his system. So he tried to trade him for a QB that went 10-5 (going off the top of my head) in his system. Cutler threw a hissy fit. Cried and stomped his feet. He wouldnt talk to anyone in the organization. This could have worked out if Cutler had shown an ounce of maturity. But he couldnt. So he had to go.
I cant really see how this is the HCs fault. This is professional football. Its a business. Cutler obviously hasnt learned that.

I cant wait for the draft.

From what i understand, Cutler was pissed about Shanahan's firing. Well thats football and he needed to get over that because it wont be the last time your HC gets fired.

Its just that they promised Cutler that some coaches would be staying on. Then poof they are gone. Then they try to trade to him and then deny it. Then they admit it did indeed happen. Its a business but just tells you right there what kind of people Cutler was dealing with in the new regime. Like i said, this clown is in way over his head. He has no idea on how to run a football team.

With all the talent Cutler has i think he could flourish in any system. The coach just has man love for his boy Cassel and wanted him there with him.

None of these Belichek former assistants have had any success on their own. Weis, failure at ND, Crennel failure in Cleveland, Mangini a failure in NY and soon to be Cleveland. I can almost guarantee this guy will be the worse of the bunch.

I have to agree with you Boss. I know Chicago gave up two firsts for him, but they are not going to draft a Cutler with either of those. I think Cutler is a rare talent with all the intangibles. He put up great numbers with virtually no running game and no defense. Now he has a solid D and a pretty good running back in Forte. I would like to see the Bears get another Tackle in the second round, because I dont think Pace can stay healthy, and then go sign Torry Holt.

Bears 1st round pick last year was at OT (Chris Williams). He was pushed to back-up for now with the Pace signing. On the other side they just got some guy (Schaffer?) from Cleveland.

Williams might be junk. Pace might be too old. And Schaffer might just not be good or a good fit. But going into the season the outlook is that they have 3 playable OTs.

I already wanted to see someone opposite Hester and now I'd like to see that even more. Plaxico just got released.

Plaxico is going to jail. He will be gone for at least season, not counting suspension.
