Not having Walker for the postseason is a giant blow to us but we'll have to make due.

Ron Romanick is healthy but i'm scared to throw him right into the mix in the post season. Still, it's likely he starts game 3 for us with Sanderson and Stieb going in games 1 and 2. Tom Henke will miss game 1 in what could be a major blow.

The Tigers won it all in 1982 and won the East again last year, they're an obviously talented team, let's take a look at them.

They obviously have a strong lineup but I think ours is better, our pitching is also way better. I'm not saying we're gonna win but we ought be favored.

We up ticket prices .60 cents and concessions .30 across the board. We've lost $1 Million on the year but that trade we made helped bring in some cash so we still have $1M in the cauffers and will surely be adding some much needed revenue with our playoff games. That's the cool thing about mogul, if you make the playoffs you're bottom line really increases cause that's free money that you're making. It really helps. Well, it's time to get on with the series! I'm so excited.
    I luv British womenz.

1985 AL Championship Series, Game 1, Seattle Mariners vs Detroit Tigers

It's Sanderson vs Petry today in the Kingdome, woohoo. The only thing of note is that Daryl Strawberry will be our DH today. Maler had been playing there but he hasn't been all that great, maybe the young phenom will add some juice to our team.

We load the bases in the 1st inning with 2 outs but Dave Edler grounds out to 2nd to end it.

The Tigers plate 2 in the 3rd inning, boo.

We plate 1 in the bottom if the 5th thanks to Sandberg double, he's 3-3 on the day.

Having thrown 121 pitches and with 2 on and 2 out in the top of the 7th we go get Sanderson and bring in Ron Musselman.
He promptly gives up a 2 run double and we trail 4-1

Sandberg gets one back in the bottom of the 7th with a HR, his 4th hit of the night.

With 2 outs in the 9th, down by 2, Alan Wiggins tripples, setting up Rhyno for...........an infield single which cuts the lead to 1. Hernandez follows that up with a single. Dave Winfield then strikes out to end the game. We lose 4-3, Yuck.

1985 AL Championship Series, Game 2, Seattle Mariners vs Detroit Tigers

Game 2 see's Dave Stieb going against Andy Beene, we need this one.

Stieb got out of a bases loaded jam in the 5th and then in the bottom of the inning we plated 1 on a sac fly to go up 1-0.

Stieb walked a guy with 1 out in the top of the 8th, we called in Tom Henke. He allowed a bunt hit but then got an inning ending double play.

A 2 run single by Alan Wiggins in the top of the 9th makes it 3-0. Henke puts em down in order in the 9th and we win 3-0 to tie the series at a game a piece as we head to Detroit.

1985 AL Championship Series, Game 3, Seattle Mariners At Detroit Tigers
This is a huge game obviously. Ron Romanick will be making his first start in about 3 months. We've got faith in him.

A 2 run HR by Sandberg in the top of the 1st gets us going early. Unfortunately Romanick is abysmal, he gives up 6 first inning runs

A 2 run shot by Strawberry in the top of the 2nd makes it 6-4, Romanick is on a very short leash.

After allowing 2 baserunners in the 2nd we replace Romanick with Bob Stoddard, real dissapointing. Stoddard gets thru the inning.

A 2 out double by Dave Edler plates a run in the 3rd. Strawberry flies out with the bases loaded to end the inning 6-5.

Stoddard allows 4 runs in the 4th and has the bases loaded when we replace him Joe Edelen who gives up 2 more runs to make it 12-5 after 4 innings.

Winfield jacks a 2 run bomb in the 5th to make it 12-7.

Calvin Schiraldi pitched 2 scoreless innings for us.

Hernandez & Worrell each pitch a scoreless inning but we finish the game 12-7 losers.

1985 AL Championship Series, Game 4, Seattle Mariners At Detroit Tigers
We elect to go with Bruce Robbins as our starter instead of bringing Sanderson back on short rest. If we can get this one I'm confident in our top 2 for games 5 and 6.

We load the bases with nobody out in the first but can't plate a run

Robbins gives up a leadoff homer in the first, we trail 1-0 after an inning.

We plate 2 runs in the 4th to go up 2-1.

They get one back in the 5th and it's tied 2-2 heading to the 6th inning.

With 2 on and nobody out in the 6th we have Jose Baez pinch hit for Daryl Strawberry with the intent to bunt the guys over, he succeeds. We fail to get anyone in however.

Robins gets thru the 6th but that's his last inning.

Musselman puts em down in the 7th.

2 singles to start their 8th and we bring in Willie Hernandez to pitch to their lefties, 3 of em coming up. WILLIE PITCHES OUT OF IT!

Willie gets in a jam in the 9th, bases loaded and 1 out and we bring in Henke but he surrenders a single to Trammell and the Tigers go up 3-1 with a 3-2 win. Efff all.

1985 AL Championship Series, Game 5, Seattle Mariners At Detroit Tigers
We need to run off 3 in a row, starting today with our ace.

We come right out and put 3 on the board in the first but Sanderson gives up a 2 run jack to Trammell in the bottom inning to make it 3-2 after 1.

We add 1 in the top of the 2nd. Really need Sanderson to step up here man.

Bases loaded and nobody out but Sanderson gets out of it with only letting in one run. 4-3 after 2 innings.

An infield single plates them 1 and then Whitaker doubles in a run to give them a 5-4 lead after 4 innings.

2nd and 3rd with 2 out in the 6th and we bring in Willie Hernandez and he gets Whitaker to ground out holding it at 5-4.

Worrell shuts em down in the 7th.

Wiggins leads off the 8th with a single, steals 2nd and then Sandberg knocks him in to tie it at 6.

Musselman shuts em down in the 8th.

Dan Firova doubles to start the 9th. Jose Baez runs for him and Glenn Burke hits for Strawberry.
Burke bunts and Baez gets thrown out at 3rd, fuck all. Ripken and Butler make out and that's it for our 9th.

The heart of their order is up in the 9th so bring Henke in.

He allows a 1 out single to Jason Thompson. Trammell his a 2 out pitch into the corner but Thompson is slower than dirt and they hold him at 3rd. We intentionaly walk Lyman Bostock and go after Dwight Lowry with the bases loaded and 2 outs. He flies out to CF to end the inning. Phew. Tied 5-5 after 9.

We get 2 on with 2 out in the 10th but can't do anything.

Henke will come back out for the bottom of the 10th. He sets em down in order but we really need to get a run here.

Jose Baez led off the 11th with a triple. Burke failed to bring him with a pop to shallow center though. Ripken singled him in, woohoo. With 2 on and 2 out Sandberg belted a 3 run shot to right field, NOICE@@!

Bob Stoddard puts em down in the 11th and that's it, we win it 9-5 and will head back to Seattle. Tigers fans are insane with rage over Thompson being held at 3rd in the 9th. Can we make that a moment that lives in infamy by coming back to win this thing? Stieb in game 6 is a major plus for us.

1985 AL Championship Series, Game 6, Seattle Mariners vs Detroit Tigers
Huge game. They're throwing Jerry Ujdur. Yeah, that guy. We should be able to force a game 7.

Stieb gave up a leadoff homer to John Poff but settled down and finished the inning down 1-0.

With 2 outs in the bottom of the first we string together 2 singles and walk and then a 2 run single from Edler to take a 2-1 lead.

Winfield blasts a solo shot in the 3rd and we lead it 3-1 after 3 innings.

With the bases loaded and 1 out in the 4th, Wiggins walks in a run, Sandberg does the same. Then Zdeb, their left fielder, misplays a Hernadez bloop and 2 more runs score. Bostock then has a Winfield fly ball go off his glove to plate another run. Tigers are falling apart here. Edler singles in 2 more. We finish the inning up 10-1.

We add another in the 5th and 7th.

Schiraldi pitches a scoreless 9th and we win it 12-1 to force a game 7.

1985 AL Championship Series, Game 7, Seattle Mariners vs Detroit Tigers
Ron Romanick will get the start today but all of our pitchers are available to pitch at anytime. This is obviously the biggest game in our teams history.

Romanick struck out 2, hit Whittaker, then Firova threw him out trying to steal to end the top of the 1st.

Sandberg bombed a 2 run shot to right to put us up 2-0 at the end of the first inning!

Romanick mowed em down in the 2nd and then Ripken sent a shot over the center field wall to make it 3-0. Sandberg singled in Butler and we lead 4-0 after 2 innings. Oh man.

Romanick has an easy 3rd. He walks the first 2 in the 4th but gets out of it and we lead 4-0 heading to the bottom of the 4th.

We add a run in the 5th and head to the 6th inning with a 5-0 lead.

An easy 6th for Romanick and then a 2 run homer from Hernandez make it 7-0 after 6 innings.

Ron gives up two, 2 out singles in the 8th and we bring in Willie Hernandez. Ron leaves to a standing ovation as the Kingdome is rocking like my bed if Jenna Fischer were in it. Well the first thing Willie does is give up a 3 run HR to John Poff whom I don't know who he is or was but he's been great for Detroit in this series. Willie finishes the inning and we head to the bottom of the 8th up 7-3.

We add a run in the bottom of the 8th and head to the 9th up 8-3 with a trip to the World Series in sight.
Tom Henke comes on to thunderous apple sauce!

With 1 on and 2 out, Lyman Bostock popped it up, Henke called everyone off and watched it into his glove, clinching the American League pennant for the boys in blue as we come from 3-1 down to win the ALCS!! YAHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Taking a look the Cubs and it's pretty clear you better get to their starters because their bullpen is effin awesome. Mike Moore is the clear ace of the staff with Roy Branch and Doug Drabek both also contributing nicely. Offensively they are led by Joe Carter and Pat Tabler. Another former Mariner Buddy Bell also had a very good year for them. They are a very good team but I don't see any reason why we can't beat them.
                        I luv British womenz.

1985 World Series, Game 1, Seattle Mariners At Chicago Cubs
It's Scott Sanderson vs Danny Jackson in game 1 of the series at Wrigley.

Sanderson struggled mightily in the first, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits.

Sanderson gives up 5 more in the 2nd including a 3 run shot to Larry Sheets. Dang nabbit.

Bruce Robbins comes on to pitch the 3rd inning.

Robbins allows a run in the 5th but Sandberg homers and we add another run to make it 8-2

Stoddard comes on to pitch the 6th.

We plate a couple in the top of the 7th to cut it to 8-4.

That's how it ends though as we drop game 1 of the series to the Cubs 8-4. Sanderson was really shitty today.
