  • Money does buy happiness!!

So Lisa and I decided to set up both computers to nerd out and play Vanguard together. We were short a new monitor so we went shopping and this goddly NEC caught my eye. A 22" beauty. I flipped the tag over and my ass hurt when I saw the $599 price tag. Fuck that. So I kept walking and there was another one, almost as sharp and still 22". This one was an HP, and I flipped over the tag....$379. Now thats more like it!

So the compter was in the bedroom, but no way we are setting up both in there so we moved both of them to the sunroom for some gaming goodness.

Anyway, the little duel gaming setup cost just a tad more then I bargined for.

    Monitor
    $412.00

    Wireless cards
    $49.50 X2 ($100.00)

    Desk
    $50.00

    Chair
    $18.99

    Vanguard Collectors Edition
    $79.99

    Subscribtion
    $14.99

    Time: 14 hours
    Total cost:$676.00

Ohh well, this monitor is goddly and for the price, really not to bad a deal.

I am looking forward to playing Vanguard in a couple months when I get outside the firewall. Just a little concerned that I'm going to have to drop some money into a new computer in order to run it.

I've got my daughter into playing City of Heroes a couple of years ago, my wife doesn't get the whole computer thing

            That's a sweet setup bro.

Since I don't have a computer room or office or anything like that I got a 50'' HDTV for the living room that I'm using as a monitor as well. Playing from your living room couch as opposed to a desk is pure sweetness

On the other hand I get to see my team's shitty record magnified.

Yep. Thats the big knock with VG right now is the insane specs required to run the thing. If your computer is 2 or more years old.....don't even think about it! I wouldn't even buy a computer untill the very day you are ready to play. Then get the most you can for the cash....your going to need it.

Fixed!! She wasn't close enough to hit her when she gets me killed!

i'd put that subwoofer between the desks so you got more legroom underneath. that's just me, though. nice setup regardless.

Spore looks awesome. I think it is due out at the end of the year. Unfortunately.
