So far, so good. Just out of curiosity, what makes something like that suddenly start happening?

Ummm, you noticied it for the first time. . . then it began driving you nuts because you looked for it everytime you opened a window. . .

Could have been a windows patch, or program glitch that started it. . or head trauma will do it as well. . . . Had any cuncussions lately?

lol, i did have an automatic update run about 2 days ago, but im freakin ocd to the max, i'd have noticed before. Im positive it just started in the last 2 days. Thanks for the help man, appreciate it.

FUCK WINDOWS AND FUCK ATI!!

I installed the update that roadrash suggested and it fixed the rendering problems, but this morning i noticed that all my wmv files were all screwy, so i reinstalled my codec pack, still screwy. And then all of the sudden these weird text files started showing up in any folder where i had played video. I friggin upgraded windows media, searched and searched. Turns out ATI's control center turns on acceleration for wmv files so I needed to turn that off, except everytime i went into the control center it would effin lock up and restart my computer. Finaly was able to get in and do it. So now it all works, except all my icons that i had set up to please me visualy were now changed to the abhorent defaults. so i finaly got them reset right the way i want, and 3 hours and 15 computer restarts a problem that should never efgfin exist is fixed.

All the porn, all the music, all the programs, all the random various crap ive dowlnloaded in 4 years has never screwed my system up. An EFFFFFFFIN WINDOWS FIX SCREWS UP MY COMPUTER, THE ATI FIX SCREWS UP MY COMPUTER. F MICROSOFT, F ATI, F EVERYTHING ABOUT THE SYSTEM, FIGHT THE MOTHER EFFFFIN POWER.

ive got an effin headache. my effin whole day was ruined because i needed to spend 4 hours working to fix something a WINDOWS update and ATI's CONTROL CENTER broke. Im angry right now. ive been chain smoking since 4 and now ive got a headache and my blood pressure is clearly thru the roof. My saturday is ruined and i need to be in a zen state by tommorow afternoon. my whole chi has been disturbed.
