Saw this was posted over at FOFC..
Agent mode? Are you kidding me? As soon as I saw that posted I knew guys were going to be all, "Whooooaz." The ceiling for that part of the game is Inside the Park Baseball. More than likely it's going to be a little time killer that leaves guys scratching their heads for an hour or so until they give up and never look back at that part of the game.
I've had beef with Gary in the past, so I'm not at all afraid to let people know how much I think his games suck. He's a bad coder in general, the graphics in his games (courtesy of Paul Yuan) are nice, but the interfaces are pure drivel and that falls back down to Gary. His games look very complex, but under the hood they usually don't add up.
One instance I remember was trying to extend a guy's contract. He was asking for something like 20 million dollars over 4 seasons. I offered him 20 million dollars over 2 seasons and he rejected it. He countered with 40 million dollars over 4 seasons. Nice negotiating...
He says his trade AI is the most realistic of any sports game. LOL
a) It doesn't know how to trade for expiring contracts, something that is pretty important in the NBA
b) You'll be flat out rejected if you offer a guy who the computer deems to be making too much. I'm not talking about Marbury making 20 mill a year, but some reserve who is making 3 or 4 million. If the computer thinks he should be making chump change you can't offer him in any part of a deal, not even if you take a bloated contract in return.
I just don't have any confidence in anything that guy makes anymore. Have any of you guys had a different experience?
