Well, I didn't get to watch the game obviously but I will say this much....

It seems like every game on TV they pick one or two guys who's ass they will kiss the whole time. Now seeing how this game had some pathetic teams in it, Favre is the obvious choice unless they surprised everyone and went with Samkon Gado. HoF guy or undrafted rookie? HoF guy gets the ass kissing every time.

And uh, he hasn't sucked for two or three years. His team has been getting worse and the defense has been horrible, therefore he goes balls to the wall and that usually ends up in turnovers because he has never excepted the fact that he can't do it all by himself.

It's like this thing I read earlier. The guy writing it was talking about how Favre is clearly not what he once was, and how he is basically only a shell of what he used to be. Then the next thing he says is how he still has that great cannon of an arm though. So has he 'lost it' or not? I mean clearly he has not lost any of his physical abilities and people admit this usually. So when these same people say he is going downhill mean that he is losing is brain or something, can't read a defense anymore? Makes no sense to me.....

My opinion on Favre is this, his arm is still very solid, but he not what it once was, he also has lost alot of his touch, and his decision making is god awfull. Even when this team was still decent he was making horrible decisions/bad throws.

In fact, i think it's the other way around, I think he gets a free pass BECAUSE the team around him is so bad. If this time we're good I don't think Favre would be much better, and then it would just be embarresing.

I compare it to Nolan Ryan at the end of his career. Can he still impress you and do alot of nifty shit? Yeah, but I wouldn't want my team in his hands anymore.

The logic of Favre-fans makes no sense to me either.

I will say this: Tobias Stanfield threw 4 INT's for me today and my opinion is: HE SUCKS!! There's no "he did it because the rest of the team, blah, blah, blah"... He did it so HE SUCKS!

I fail to see how Favre's INTs (which HAVE been happening against anything resembling a good defense for upwards of FIVE years now - I'll go 2 above what Suicane posted) help his team comeback from deficits which his lack of scoring on offense seemingly failed to create.

But I've enjoyed it for 5 years so in the big picture I hope he throws ill-advised INT's for another 15 and doesn't get blamed! Viva la last place Packers and their avoidance of accepting reality! Let Favre play again!

There is the straight truth from a non-Bears fan's (as far as I know) mouth!

I do get pissed at Favre for some of his INT's. Others are not his fault and I can recognize that.

As for the rest of your comments I actually take joy in reading it. It means as a Bear fan the only thing you have had to cheer for for the last five years was to see Favre throw an INT because your own team couldn't do a damn thing, and your own team has never had a QB near the quality that he is.

And five years is a stretch. 4 years ago he had 27 TDs to 16 INTs, 5 years ago he had 32 TDs to 15 INTs. The two Superbowl years he threw 13 INTs each year.

In my eyes, sometimes you just have to take the good with the bad, as frustrating as that can be sometimes. I will take the last 14 years the Packers have had over the last 14 any other NFC Central/North team has had.

FYI - Although I've followed the Bears since '85 I'm 100% a "fair weathered fan" so when they suck (as they've done a lot since then) I accept it and follow whatever team is doing good defensively (most recently I was a temp Bucs fan). My view on being a "fan" of anyone/anyteam is simple: If you personally do something for me then maybe I'll feel loyalty to you but until that time comes I'll entertain the idea of rooting for you so long as rooting for you entertains me.
