    GG Argot

The shootout for the West begins as the Wolfpack made it look easy this time. QB Stokes is gonna be even more disgruntled w/ the Pistol throwing picks but he's got to the bye with a 7-2 record and I'll take that all day

Cool that we're all in the top 5 for power rankings too

GG Amricking. I thought that short passing game of yours was going to get the win, as we had some trouble with it early on. But we were able to get some great pressure on Toviessi, and stop the run pretty well. Barret was chucking some bombs down the field, Hanks ran well enough on limited carries, and the offense put the game away. On to New Orleans. That damn Anchorage team is hanging around as Budda wins again this week...

        GG Rawrster,

We got off to a very slow start, gaining a paltry 11 yards on our first 5 drives. But in the 3rd quarter, Hillery connected with Zimmerman on a 60 yard TD strike, then scrambled 46 yards for another TD on the next series to break the game open.

          GG Jeremy,

Looks like you are running away with the division. I was worried about your pass rush and didn't rest a tired lineman because i didnt want to start a 14/40 rookie again your all pro DE . I wonder if he broke down and cost us the game. I also tried to be fancy when adjusting my depth chart I hope that didn't cost me the game either...

GG Hooper. Gave me a donut and your kicker did awesome with those field goals lol. When I was down 0-13 I kept telling myself I'm only 2 scores back.. but I just couldn't get it going on offense in between the interceptions and sacks. I know my team isn't the best in the league.. but scoring 0 points is just unacceptable. There will be extra laps in practice all week.

GG Beast. Blame Portland. After the shellacking they put on us last week, my guys were in a payback kind of mood.

There are so many things about this game that make me crazy, but it stings less when you win.

                1. May- again...wasn't good. 50% completion rate, only 148 yards, and 1 TD. BUT he didn't throw any INT's and only got sacked once. His season QBR of 66.3 is laughable. Crane is healthy again and Turnbull is still waiting for a second chance. I keep thinking May will rebound, but maybe he's with Arizona. He's idolized by the fan base, and is no longer disgruntled. Coach Porcher and GM Argot are however.

                2. If you shut down May, I don't understand how Lang also got shut down. I need to figure out a better balance or get May to stretch the field a bit. The sure handed Wilburn had 2 catches of 6 for 16 yards. I prolly need real Wide Receivers. Wolf though, balied Lang out. Perhaps that's why I have two backs :P

                3. What is with my game end execution? I've got to play with the clock drain ticker and our defenses that are letting teams back in the game. I saw Little Rock all over again as SLC started to come back with less than 7 minutes in the game. And stop it with the hand the ball 3 downs in a row as soon as we hit the 4th quarter.

                4. Ok...some good news. 4 takeaways and 0 giveaways. ---BUT without those, we don't win this game. And to fail to capitalize on turnovers in the other team's end of the field is irritating. And how the heck did SLC fumble on his own 1 and get it back.

                5. You know there's an issue when your top 4 tacklers in the game are your 2 safeties and 2 cornerbacks. That shouldn't happen, but it does mean that SLC decided to try and exploit the secondary through passing and took Wiggins out of the game. I don't like Wiggins.

                6. All 4 sacks came from no-names. I guess Falcone and Cheung decided to sit the bench this game.

                7. But hey! We almost sold out this game. That's good news financially. Which is better than we ever did when we were in Reno.

GG Vito. You still have the division edge, +1 game up. Newark is going to be tough to get by and they have a game in hand. For whatever reason, we like playing Patterson.

AND, for all this late success...I get Vancouver next week as a prize. :P

I think you are going to have to have an 11-5 record to make the playoffs in the NC this year.

GG Donlooky, glad that we could help you end your losing streak.

I have now reached the same conclusion that Hooper arrived at during the 2029 season: QB Gianettino just isn't that good. Three picks in the first half (one of which was with 30 seconds left in the first half and was turned into a cheap TD) and a 57% completion rate put us into a deep hole out which we just could not climb.

The $64 question now is do I play one of the backups to see what they can do or do I stick with Gianettino?

GG TimG. We jumped out to a 28-0 lead and then watched it erode as Lester lit us up for 361 yards. It probably would have been 500 yds if Crapo was playing.

                      Yeah, Wiggins is evil

I was feeling good and then I looked at our remaining schedule. We play the the reigning champs, 2 division leaders, and 2 games with the resurgent 'pack.
If we make the playoffs we'll have earned it.

I wish I was that smart. I didn't want to trade Gianettino. I did it partly as a team shake-up and partly because I though the trade would keep an owner in the league. One of those things worked.

One thing I just thought of: if the new FOF's draft classes are not as deep as the old version, and the injury bug is this effective, doesn't this kind of water down the player pool dramatically? Turf issues or not?
