  • 2027 Proposed Schedule

Looking for feedback. Don't hesitate to suggest something. I'm all ears (and penis if you're wondering)

Opportunities to move quicker would be to
Do the 2 staff stages together
    eliminate the cut day
start the draft earlier in the week.
    combine franchise stage and FA1

by cutting the schedule a day here and there, we can then start our season on a sunday and not have as much in between time.

    Sim times
Offseason - Exports in by 8am(I will sim shortly after that). Stages in this color represent this sim time.

Inseason - Exports in by 7pm Wednesday night and 11am Sunday Mornings. Stages in this color represent this sim time.

Given that we may have issues due to unfamiliarity with the program and exports, I would be on the side of slow and steady rather than trimming. I was trying to figure out how I'm supposed to set my preferences different for my head coach than my strength coordinator. It seems it's set up to do one at a time, or you have to pick just average it out and hope for the best as it picks specific coaches. We have waiting this long. Why rush in? But I'm totally getting excited about the start here.

Yeah, the other leagues I'm in have just set the preferences once and simmed the staff draft. It's really just a way to get by until the conscriptor is ready to handle it.

Does anyone know if we will take a "hit" by changing coaches like before. If I can't set my preferences then I'm debating about standing by my coaches until I could actually make a decision on one.

I don't think anything is a deal breaker
most teams should end up with an entire new staff. what staff members did in the old game vs this game are entirely different. Based on what Ben has described, you can sort the staff by the "suitable" rating for each position and it will essentially rate the staff members.

again, I posted this so everyone knows what to do for this stage

I agree with Argot ... let's learn the game ... what's the rush. I am in FA in another league and seeing how that is going, I think one day at a time would be the best way to proceed.

The staff draft was an experience I wish could be relived.

I tried to keep my head coach (with a 4 year renewal; he had one year left on is contract) and my defensive coach (same renewal request). By the way, only coaches with one year left on their contract can be offered a renewal. So, I was sort of lucky that two of mine had those conditions. Long story short, my head coach resigned, my defensive coordinator took a head coaching job elsewhere. I was not very happy but that is what the game allows. As for setting preferences, there is only a master template that is used for all the coaches you are recruiting. I tried to find the magic but really did not end up much like I wanted which also might be a reflection of my miserable draft position at #25.

Learning this game will be a challenge ... so going a little slow would seem to be the ticket IMO. Cap management is crucial and much more of a challenge than the last version.

Can we move FA stage 2 up to Monday and leave Sat. open?

Old schedule is fine. I just wanted to see FA2 run sooner since that's when all the big-time free-agents sign.

Not necessarily. In this version, most guys have a pretty specific week they want to sign. FA bidding seems to last much longer so far.
