CCFL is the first converted league, and the fastest moving league. game sims are 6 days per week. Originally, it was the only league that had a reduced cap. thus the "cap crunch football league". obviously, the new game doesn't need any help with that.

Ben is already working on his website stuff and seems to have it running pretty well

I finished 9-7 this year. I felt that I had a lot of weaknesses trying to build a team with the CCFL rules, by the time we converted there were too many holes on defense. Drafting is next to impossible to do remotely until now. Having no bars in Conscriptor was pretty tough. Now, you can export using extractor and import into the utility.

6 days a week?! holy cow. Do you think we would have any more success recruiting if we boosted our sims to 2-3 times a week? I guess it wouldn't have much of an impact judging from how many openings there are in other leagues over at FOFC.

I think that our pace impacts recruiting. People don't want a slow paced league...or atleast, they don't think they want it.

I believe your right and we should move forward with 2 games a week like last season, if we keep going. We will find you help to do files.

I like the pace also. I think people will think they won't like the slower pace, but the reality is that it is fun.
That being said, it can be a long process to rebuild.

I agree that from year to year OOTP is more evolutionary that revolutionary. But it is a solid BB simulator. Not perfect but solid
Nah I shouldn't bashed it that bad. I liked it too especially since I like base-ball. It just seemed like a new version was coming out every 6 months haha I might have to check it out again since they've added 3D stadiums!

How many of you are playing GLB2 with zbuck and I? There's already a decent and fun game out so no need to feel forced to stay with FOF or wait for OOTP Football. ZBuck and I have the same screen names over there. Link is in my sig. Very easy to get an IFL spin-off team going. I'd throw in a toon and consult but wouldn't have time to do any coaching.

OOTP's hockey game doesn't get very good reviews. So be careful about your expectations for their football game. They've been doing baseball for a long time, and football is a different deal. I don't know that the same developers of the baseball game will be doing the football game.

Is GLB2 just like GLB except with a different game viewer? Or is there actually stuff to do?

I used to play FOF2k1 all the time. There was no MP environment, so I had to find something to make myself stay interested in the game.
I played the game for probably 30 seasons after taking over the expansion team. after 30 seasons, I took the worst team in the league from a value perspective. I pretended to "buy" the team. aka, i borrowed the money to buy it with 5% interest calculated on the loan. the goal was to be profitable and turn the team around. So I didn't spend the salary cap, and signing bonus money was important.

that was the last time I played SP FOF I think. I can't get into SP at all.

no its some British dude. Apparently he already has the physics based game worked out and OOTP will be providing the bones to hang it on. I mean all American football simulators need to know the talent level in Costa Rica right?

It's like you say if you just create players. But if you get into coaching then it's a lot like FOF with real people instead of game-generated drafted players. The coaching aspects are where the interest lies for me. And I like the breakdown of each team having an owner, GM, HC, OC, DC, STC, recruiter, and assistants. Being an assistant gives you access to the GUI while not taking the full responsibility of making game decisions.

Like real life some owners just want to put in the $$$ and others want full control. I like it. And the improved animation is a huge deal for me over the dots of GLB1. haha

I used to play only single player too, but once I went MP, I haven't played a SP season since. I like the challenge, but also it limits the amount of time I can spend on the game (which is good). I'm the type of person who will get really engrossed in something I like and it's hard to push the off switch once I get going. With multiplayer, there's only so much I can do and then I need to wait for the next stage to be run, so it's a natural check on the time I put in.
