Our defense was absolutely terrible.

not sure what's gonna happen with Davey now out for most of the season. not a very promising start to the year.
atleast we got lucky and got the win.

With Vermont tying the game up with less than 2 mins, our 1st play from scrimmage is a long TD bomb to our new rookie WR. nice first game rook!!!
2TDs and over 100 yds receiving.

One of the most exciting Phantoms Vs. Pirate match-ups of all time ends with Orlando needing a few seconds more than the clock allowed as they complete a 26 yard pass into short FG range as time expired. Great game, Kurt!! I didn't have confidence in this one.

BTW - I had a rookie get "tired" while inactive. That's some lack of endurance!!

The defending Champs get off to a winning start but we looked a little rusty.

Wow! Great game Mark. I saw the "defense was extremely familiar with that play" far too often. May made less than 50% of his passes and still passed for 317 yards. Missed FG's were the order of the day, but we have GOT to get better in the redzone.

GG Tarcone. It was super ugly but a win is a win. I need to look at our offensive gameplan because we were horrible during the preseason and it's continued to week one.

After seeing this I checked and I had a 6-year vet CB get tired while inactive. Half my defense got tired from constantly blowing assignments and trying to chase down Carolina's receivers!
