  • Week 7 discussion.

Alrighty, good week for me, it was a bye week.

I didn't even realize that until right before I went to do the games and remembered I had not done my export yet....saved some time there.

It is Christmas all over again. 4 field goals from our jolly kicker Darren Christmas and we get the win 12-10. The bad news is Hynes is still out for 3 weeks and we can not rush him back, and now the Super Bowl winning QB that has a touch of magic is gone for the season. Jesse Garcia is out for 15 weeks with a torn rotator cuff -- AHHHHHH!!! It is going to be a tough 3 weeks, that is for sure. I just hope Harrison Hynes comes back and stays injury free for the remainder of the season. And Burlington needs to start losing a few games.

Christmas? Another loss on the road BUT the good news for Salt Lake fans (bad news for IFL defenses) is that I finally have my offense on track. Defense is next Good game Vancouver!!!

James Tart is back and climbed into the top 10 rushing AND he's got 280 yards receiving 8)

Wait til we get a defense

Yeah Vito, looking through real quick, you and Vancouver pretty much matched each other in every area on offense, even turnovers. Good game between you two as Vancouver wins with the TD pass with 15 seconds to go.

One of those games that gets the common saying, "Who ever has the ball last will win"

I think no Cartagena might be hurting a little now. And remember, Columbia started 0-3 last year and still went to the NC Championship game. Something tells me Columbia still has little problem getting into the playoffs.

Yeah, hence my pleasure....that was a hellevu throw and you can't be mad about that shit. I hate my team losing POORLY because no one should be able to contain Gomez, Tart, AND Booker IF I call a good scheme---one of them as got to get off:

              Look at my boys

Passing Att Comp Yards Yd/Att Long TD Int Sckd
              2 Booker 37 25 281 7.5 47 3 1 1

Rushing Att Yards Avg Long TD
              31 Tart 23 120 5.2 23 0

Receiving Catch Yards Avg YAC Long TD
              86 Gomez 7 111 15.8 7 47 2

And Gomez on the way to a career day ...

Offense: Strong Formation, Normal, Strength = Right.
Defense: 34 Alignment, Man-to-Man (Loose), Run - Aggressive.
1-10-VAN29 (03:53) SLC 2 Booker pass completed to 86 Gomez for 29 yards and a touchdown!
Gomez gained 10 yards after the catch.
              Penalty: SLC - Offensive Holding.

Like I said, 8-8 and an identity is fine with me. I get to address my defense (or make my offense even more explosive) in the off season.

                      damn...

another heartbreaking loss for the Clawz. With less than 2 minutes remaining in the game I get a chip shot field goal blocked that would have tied the game. Whats worse is the injuries this year have left my team desimated. My three best OL are all out. Next week is going to be another tough one against 5-1 wichita and the Clawz will be heading into that one a major underdog considering the injuries that have ravished the OL.
