This took all of 2 seconds and Wiki to find. I'd say "Derrrrrr" but I'm not Republican and have too much class, which equals any class at all, not a high bar to surmount. Good luck in 2016 with your gay-hating, non-white hating, non-me hating form of "gathering"... rofl.

I know your response will be "just speculation", but there was speculation that "Obama will win" and there was speculation that the "Earth isn't flat" and there's speculation that "Republicans need to suck the hispanic dick, though surprisingly with enough dick-sucking experience, they can't handle a foreign one and mishap their selfish message to get the dick in their mouth".

Regarding LA: I've said it before but here it is again: LA is not a "team city" it's a "me-first" city. Football doesn't belong regardless of population. The Lakers and "Magic", "Kareem", "Shaq", "Kobe" rule and will rule even when there's no wins nor superstars... The Clippers will continue to gain "Laker-hater" money... Football is beyond their comprehension... though I hope they'd someday evolve.

I'm pretty sure any agreements that the CFL and NFL had are gone. I know the NFL gave the CFL a loan in the late 90's to keep the league afloat.

as of now, from what i'm aware of, there is no agreement. there is no reason an NFL team can't come to Toronto other than they will kill the team in Buffalo if they do it. So, the only way we get a team in Toronto is if the Bills move.

so the CFL is safe because the NFL is smart enough not to kill one of their own....lol

Yep, I WAS WRONG; going on memory from 1974 the bill was never signed into law. However, it did force the Northmen to Memphis. However the point being is that I seriously doubt that the owners of the CFL and politicians of Canada would allow an NFL team in Canada full time and destroy a 100+ year old league. [FYI} I did find a story that the Detroit Wheels did move to London Ontario after being booted out of Detroit for non-payment of rent. I will assume that the CFL pretty much knew that the WFL was folding at the end of the season and didn’t care. So my deepest apologies to Boss and DG. I fully understand that being Republicans the ability to apply cause and affect analytical thinking to a subject is foreign to them. And that minor errors cause them great panic such as the recent filibuster in Texas and the three points of orders. Funny the Republicans aren’t mentioning the illegal fraud of changing a legislative entry [time stamp] and falsifying an official document. I guess Republicans still only pick and choose which laws they want to follow?

By the way Boss ,any chance you could explain SC Justice Anthony Scalia and his comment that the SC had no business overturning a Congressional passed law DOMA. Yet 24 hours earlier he did in killing the Voting Rights Act. Is that just another case of Republican hypocrisy or does Scalia hit the bong regularly and just has short term memory issues?

Matt I think Rogers Centre barely meets NFL seating requirements. With BILLION dollar stadiums now being the standard. Rogers Center is already outdated, and I think a whole new stadium would need to be built. I doubt Parliament or the CFL and their “old” money would ever let that funding get passed. I bet that old law never passed would surface again.

My brother who lives in Kansas City told me recently that Chiefs owner Hunt has been making rumblings about moving them to LA. He has some LA connections and has the $$ to build a multi-BILLION dollar stadium. Seems the Missouri Republicans and their ignorance is killing the Kansas City and Missouri economy [How much does that NASCAR track in KS bring into KS coffers that MO Republicans didn’t want?] Can you say San Jose Rams? That rumor has been going around since Laurie bought them as well. Times they are a changing…

well, it goes without saying that if a team ever came to Toronto there would be a stadium built. it won't be downtown near the lake because there's no room there, and I'm fine with that. north of the city is wide open and that's were a new state of the art stadium would be built.

Also, i think that you're over stating the power of the CFL. the funding of a new stadium would not be provincial or federal money, it's all private investors. the only thing stopping a team from coming to Toronto is that there's a team in Buffalo.....oh, and don't forget Detroit which is just a few hours away

I consider myself to be more of a libertarian. I know that our problems in government arent Democrat or Republican. That the bullshit crosses the line on both sides.

I think when Wilson dies you will see some investors based in Toronto make a bid to buy the franchise and move them to Toronto. Buffalo is a small market and as big as the NFL is getting their time will eventually come to an end. Toronto makes the most sense as they already have a fan base there. I see this happening before anything overseas happening. Wilson is 94 years old, the clock is ticking.
