Goodell can hope all he wants but that will never happen. Players would not want to play there first of all. Good luck signing any free agents that would be willing to move overseas. Plus, I don't think any owner in the NFL would want to move their franchise over there either. Its a pipe dream...2003,2004,2007,2008,2010,2013,2024,2025,2031,2037, 2038 and 2039 NC North Division Champions, 2012 and 2017 Wild Card

I remember watching some of the World League - or NFL Europe - games in the late 90s/early 2000s. I guess that league could never really become economically viable. I wonder if the games in London are a nice "curiosity" but would a team really be capable of developing a large enough loyal fan base?

Players will go to whoever is offering the money and with a salary cap all teams are equal. Also note that American Football is played in Germany on a professional level and has been for over 20 years. The setup is a lot like how they do soccer with the parent club supporting teams under it all the way down to pee-wee level.
I think people are going to be surprised at how much pro sports change in the next couple of years. NBA will be global [China, Europe, S. America] and will be the easiest to do. Just a matter of time for a world pro hockey league as well.
I also recall sitting in a doctor’s office a few years ago and reading an article in a business mag about how the NFL was already then talking to overseas cities about expanding. [ London, Frankfurt, Madrid] were a few of the cities I recall and Kraft of the Patriots, Jones of the Cowboys, and Snyder of the Redskins are the three big name owners pushing it along. Also keep in mind that HUGE stadium in Mexico City. $$$$$$ talks and bullshit walks!!!

Oh btw to get back on topic I am pretty sure some players have said they would rather retire then to Play over seas. Lets not mention the nightmare travel would be and playing games the following week. Stupid idea IRL and stupid idea IFL. Glad my Game hasnt been updated and still reads Baltimore.

This. Imagine playing for London and traveling to the US for at least 8 road games a year(More if they increase the amount of regular season games.) It would be brutal. West Coast teams struggle going East. There is a bigger time difference for London.Originally posted by DakotaGeorge View PostOh btw to get back on topic I am pretty sure some players have said they would rather retire then to Play over seas. Don't forget the high taxes over there. No player will want any part of that mess.2003,2004,2007,2008,2010,2013,2024,2025,2031,2037, 2038 and 2039 NC North Division Champions, 2012 and 2017 Wild Card

I would expect a team in Canada first before an attempt at a overseas fiasco.2003,2004,2007,2008,2010,2013,2024,2025,2031,2037, 2038 and 2039 NC North Division Champions, 2012 and 2017 Wild Card

I don't really have a problem with someone moving a team to their hometown in this game. If we were playing with real NFL team names, I could see the problem there. But this is a fake game, with a fake league and fake teams.Originally posted by DakotaGeorge View PostThats why its a stupid idea IRL and IFL and it IS unrealistic.

I think you boys are soon to be disappointed. Way too much money to be made by going global. Plus the logistics to having teams offshore have already been worked out for the most part. The NFL hasn’t been playing league games in London just because they are nice guys. IF a couple of you are capable of it, you just may want to think about it.
