I did 3 big renegs last export and came out over the cap. Not sure why, I guess I don't understand exactly how the new bonus & salary interact with the prev. contract. I would've thought one of the contract offers would have been withdrawn but they all went through. Anyway, I don't want to be break the rules so maybe Matt wants to void one or all of the contracts. Sry.

the game won't let you go over really.
even though you're showing over, you're technically not over the cap. the game manages the cap and if you were over the game would not allow the signings. that being said, you may want to either re-neg or release to get yourself in the positive to avoid a potential issue.

thanks-sounds like I'll be okay, but i may try to drop a little salary.

BTW, a lot of my players are making much bigger salary demands than before. So I think I'll be forced to put one or more of my "stars" (I use that term loosely) on the market next season. This may be the beginning of the K-Whale breakup (depending of course on what happens to McNeil).

No worries mate, I can’t imagine there are any really bad teams waiting to pounce on a mistake. However, just like the White Sox got a hall of fame catcher because a Red Sox GM didn’t understand the free agent rules… NO VOIDS ALLOWED.

I think the chances of this happening are slim because it's been so many years since the last patch.

In Front Office Football, the salary cap isn’t necessarily a "hard" cap.
You can exceed the cap temporarily when the terms of your team’s
existing contracts exceed the cap prior to the season. But you will be
penalized by losing your draft picks and you will be unable to sign new
players or make trades if you’re over the cap.

The cap in Front Office Football consists of only the most expensive 53
players on your team, plus lost cap room. This allows you to keep a few
extra players around during training camp and the exhibition season
without affecting your cap room

There is a veteran exemption allowed for teams. If you sign a player
with more than three years’ experience to the minimum required for his
level of experience, plus a bonus that doesn’t exceed about .039% of
the salary cap for each year of the contract ($40,000 per year with a
salary cap of $102 million), he only counts the minimum for third-year
players under the cap.
