AC President / Co-Commish

WIth Suicane stepping down, I'm officially looking for someone to volunteer from the AC to help out with the league.

I think I've tried to do this on my own, but my life just doesn't make this feasible. I have a demanding job, wife, 3 kids, 1 foster kid, and coach a basketball team. I can't do this alone effectively.


I'm looking for someone to help me out. That would be doing week day sims at a convenient time and helping out with any potential issues. I'd prefer this position to be someone from the AC if possible, but if no one is available we could open it up.
I would prefer that the candidate be endorsed by the our community also.

We need a new host with more space. It's pretty rediculous how little space we have, and Suicane is paying for this I think.

I have no clue how to move us to a new host. Looking for someone that knows a good deal and how to do it.

I will volunteer. I'm a full time student and stay at home dad. I'm here, home, and online all day and half the night. Because of that I'm also able to monitor the draft nearly every second of the day. It's logical, but again, I'm only volunteering. Some may think I'm a poor choice.

Ideal situation would be to have people volunteer/nominated and then have a vote.

I think we should change the names from Commish and Presidents. Maybe to Head Dude and AC Dude and NC Dude. That seems like it would fit this league better.

IF were able to wait, I can and will take over hosting in early to late May. Our tax return is $9k, and our combined school loan checks will hit in late May for another $8 k. So in May, we will get a $17,000 deposit. If were able to wait, I will take over hosting.

I remember us leaking memory or something a while back. Maybe we need the "flush" or whatever it was that Sui had done. We're not the type of site to often need more space since we basically just add a little more text each time.

Not sure what your plan is but instead of "In/Out" voting simply for the AC/Co-Commish position we should try to create a spot for anyone voted "in" to the authoritative group. Such as Head Recruiter, Draft Monitor, Media Master, etc...

that person would preferably be in the AC to maintain the balance. ultimately, we need the right person, despite what team they run.

Ok cool. I was just offering because I've run 2-3 dedicated sites when I was a guild leader when EQ2 was released so I know the in's and out's of website hosting and I'm damn sure I could improve the sites functionality. :-D

Jave makes the most sense if you want someone from the AC. I don't think we really need a vote.

Depends on what Jave's duties would be. I dont like the idea of other owners simming their own games esp playoff games. Maybe I am just a stickler on that. I also dont think Jave should be making decisions over rules and laws of the league when it comes to other owners. Sometimes Jave is just an emotional basket case. I trust Matt and Sui. I certainly do not trust Jave. Maybe that leads back to multiple drafts ago him egging me on to take my time with my pick and stall while in another box he was in SUI's ear about how he should skip my pick and I should be punished. IDK. But IMHO Jave is not trusted.
