We don't need any samples of sites he's run.. we're talking hosting of the existing site, nothing else.. I don't see why we would need a site re-design or anything..
FWIW, hosting can be rented very cheaply, especially since we're a low bandwidth site compared to many others.
Personally I've used a Danish company (though I don't think it makes sense for the IFL due to distance) for years. Their 5 Gb package (space) with unlimited bandwidth costs me about $40 a year including domain - so finding something in that price range just makes the most sense.
I've also used Hostmonster, which has unlimited space and bandwidth and allows the hosting of multiple domains. They're a bit more expensive because of the multiple domain thingy, but also runs a bit slower on my end (but I think that's because the servers are in Texas or Arizona and I'm in Sweden).
