Speaking of which....
Is that the most ridiculous runningback we've ever seen drafted? Keeping in mind of course he hasn't actually gone through TC or played a game, but his stats are off the charts. Good year to be drafting 1st overall. All the draft picks notwithstanding.....I have to wonder if I was in DG's shoes I wouldn't draft Stavros. That dude is insane.

That's the exact reason I drafted Mathis with the first pick last draft.. I would of rather had a stud QB but I think a talent like him is few and far between.Originally posted by Jave View PostSpeaking of which....

My team has suffered offensively since DH retired. Stavros is the missing piece to the next run. If Sanford can hang on for a few seasons. We will be ok. Just need to find some linemen in FA every year. That will be the downside to the trading of all those picks.
But Sanford, Stavros, Andrews, Willis and Rhinehart. Im okay offensively. And Nixon at TE will be better then his bars suggest.IFL Champions-- 2016

A runningback like him is VERY difficult to gameplan for. I haven't seen one with that skill set in this league, but I have in my other league, and they can make a HUGE difference for an offense.Originally posted by DakotaGeorge View PostBelieve I have heard it a few places but a RB is the LAST piece of a rebuild. I am no where near having a winning team right now. Why would I draft a RB however studly who only has like an 8 season shelf life.

I can't believe I am saying this, but I firmly agree with DG. Dakota needs more than an RB, and because an RB like Stavos could improve the Spirit dramatically, it will lessen the value of next year's pick.
Obviously, a QB is the first piece as they have the longest shelf life followed by Offensive Linemen and Linebackers, then Secondary and WR's, Defensive linemen, TE's and then....you can draft an RB...
Not that I know...I've never been to a championship game, but this has been my plan since drafting a couple of Olineman and then getting lucky enough to get May.
Having said that...if somehow Stavos would have been available to us, I would have taken him.MIAMI VICE - 2074

Yea, I don't see a problem with him not taking him. I think it was a good move on both parts. Sure, Tulsa traded away their entire near future for him, but he also looks like the real deal.Originally posted by Argot View PostI can't believe I am saying this, but I firmly agree with DG. In addition, DG is right, he would have gone to waste in Dakota. By the time they had enough pieces around him to win, you already wasted nearly 1/3 of his 8-9 year career.Steve Beans - Houston Renegades

Bars dont always mean everything. But that said, I'm hoping that his combine and he grew up in the stadium will make him atleast an average QB. If not I'll have another high pick next season.Originally posted by Jave View PostNot so sure about that pick by Texas. All combines, horrible bars has little chance of success.
