Gentlemen,
It's been a pleasure, but I'm afraid I have to step down after this season, not just from IFL but from FOF. I still run RNFL, and I will until late spring, but I'm leaving all of my leagues in one way or another by then. I'm wrapping up my dissertation this year and my life isn't going to leave any room for...well...life. After that I'm going into consulting which will be just as hectic.
It's been a great ride. Thanks for having me.

Great dude, great GM, great chance of going out on top. Turned a cursed franchise (0-thousand post-season or something) into an IFL Bowl winner in short time.

Sorry to see you go Jeff. I learned more than a little about the game by following your team. When I was starting out, your teams were so good, I picked up a number of your castoffs to start on my team. OLB Lamar Barrett is still a part-time starter for us.
Good luck with your dissertation.

It sucks to lose a guy like Jeffrey. I know him for a very long time now and I now hear that he'll leave all his leagues. I had the pleasure to compete with him in the same division in the NAFL for something like 20 seasons and it was an epic competition.
Man I'm sad to see you go. I wish you all the success you want in life, but somehow, I'm not so worried about you. Farewell Jeffreysigpic

I'm struggling with this decision, but wanted to post before tomorrow so whatever choice I make isn't done by the outcome of my season.
I want to stay, I really do, but I am at the point where I absolutely cannot stand gameplanning in 2k7. There are other issues that bug me, but not enough to leave.. gameplanning though, that is driving me away.
That said, I hate leaving games I haven't mastered yet. If the game isn't stupid (and fof2k7 is borderline), I have always played games out and mastered every element.
If I knew an easy way to build a team similar to mine or at least the style I want to run, then re-run the same season over and over until I learned every element of gameplanning, it may make the game more enjoyable again. I know there are ways to do it, but I forgot.
With winter coming up and football season starting, I know I'm going to regret quitting right now. I'm just going to have to think on it a bit more.
If anyone can PM me a step by step method to recreating a specific team in single player mode then running seasons, saving data, and re-running over and over, that would help a bit.
So right now, I'm undecided but I don't want to just give up after 7.5 years
