I want to stay, I really do, but I am at the point where I absolutely cannot stand gameplanning in 2k7. There are other issues that bug me, but not enough to leave.. gameplanning though, that is driving me away.

That said, I hate leaving games I haven't mastered yet. If the game isn't stupid (and fof2k7 is borderline), I have always played games out and mastered every element.

If I knew an easy way to build a team similar to mine or at least the style I want to run, then re-run the same season over and over until I learned every element of gameplanning, it may make the game more enjoyable again. I know there are ways to do it, but I forgot.

With winter coming up and football season starting, I know I'm going to regret quitting right now. I'm just going to have to think on it a bit more.

If anyone can PM me a step by step method to recreating a specific team in single player mode then running seasons, saving data, and re-running over and over, that would help a bit.

So right now, I'm undecided but I don't want to just give up after 7.5 years
Sounds like an IN to me. Dont want to give up you dont have to.

Thanks, fellas. I don't think about FOF much anymore just because I'm distracted by other things, but I do think about the relationships. The good thing is, I can still drop in every few weeks and post or do a quick stat analysis for the game without being tied to a schedule. You'll see me around.

Later man we had some battles though my team was weak the last 4 years since we didn't build through the draft.

The 09/30 deadline isn't really giving incoming GMs the "ample" shot to retain players it was intended for... if you're on the fence about coming back please try to resign as many players as you can without cap-strapping a potential incoming GM.

gives someone 4 stages and 1 week real time. If the team is cash strapped, then they won't be able to sign as 100% of the contracts have been paid out. You either have the room or you don't

It's been a pleasure, but I'm afraid I have to step down after this season, not just from IFL but from FOF. I still run RNFL, and I will until late spring, but I'm leaving all of my leagues in one way or another by then. I'm wrapping up my dissertation this year and my life isn't going to leave any room for...well...life. After that I'm going into consulting which will be just as hectic.

It's been a great ride. Thanks for having me.

I've been on the fence for various reasons, but the reason I'm staying is the same as for Steve.. I can't really imagine not watching the games on Sundays and I sure as hell can't imagine not participating in the draft..

Yeah, you heard it.. I'm staying..

I meant cap-strapping in future season via signing out of proportion contracts. Didn't mean to sound harsh if it did.

                            Glad to have coder back!

I may regret this, but I'll try one more time. Real life stuff has pulled me far away, but I'll give it at least 1 more year. After than I may be out...
