different day, same ol' crap .... defense got creamed on ... gg Kozure ... the Beasts just have our number and you deservedly won today.

I think we play again in a few weeks ... as you said earlier, I guess its best to just get this thing over with early this season.

        GG Chris

wow, did my team make me look stupid in this one. I thought I had a nice game manager in DeWit and even predicted he'd throw less than 15 interceptions this year. And what does he to repay my faith in him? Exactly, he throws 4 picks in the first game. Ugh. :-(

Other news: Running game looks quite good and the defense still can't stop anyone. Here's to improvement across the board.

The Clawz have owned us for seasons now and I'll be honest....we weren't confident at all.

We shot out to a decent lead and then just about weathered the Clawz backlash to sneak out of town with an OT win.

At times it wasn't pretty, but any win in Cleveland is an achievement.
I wouldn't say the balance is shifting in the division just yet, but maybe we have a monkey off our back.

          Yea, GG ukpatfan

We gave up too much early. We were rolling in the second half though, and I thought we'd get the comeback. We ended up forcing overtime and never touched the ball. Wichita rumbled down and kicked a FG, game over. (Current NFL rules would let the Clawz have a possession after that, but that's ok )

Ok, well I'll cry about how I had nearly 500 yards of offense and still lost then.

I have to have some excuse lol

                        typical

Portland C rated 66 in run blocking and has a blocking strength of ZERO going against Fresno DTs rated 94-30 & 82-86

so of course Parten goes 6-8 on KRBs leading the seals towards 28 first downs. In his 10 year career the most KRBs he has had in a season is 26

combine that with the typical chuck and pray 5 bombs completed and the 5 10+ play drives. 4 Portland drives were extended by Warthog penalties resulting in 20 points and with 1:40 left in the FIRST half the Fresno D was rewarded with 'The defense looked very familiar with that play' message on Bauer that apparently means nothing

That was ugly. Offense produced something like 70 yards through 40 minutes. I guess with 7 new starters on that side of the ball nobody will be confusing us with the Saints.
Wasn't too happy with our offense, but I guess we'll take it on the road. Troutman got the start, but like last year, he will be on a short leash because Harding is more proven. My rookie offensive weapons Crapo and Sparkman didn't do much, but I expect that given that they're rookies. I'd like to see more out of Sparkman though. GG Little Rock.

We won the first half of the game. Your offesne waited until the late 3rd / 4th qtr to get going. It was a good win for us being on the road. Definitely happy to start off on the right foot.

                            See you again soon!!!!!!
I tried a new offense and overall I liked it. It just took too long to come to fruition. I am glad we minimized your running game. We have never been able to stop The Burger anyways. Still a work in progress and now we are missing DT Linthicum as well as all world MLB Winfred Reilly. The schedule is ugle for us this year.

Anyways, good defensive battle in Lansing. We couldn't muster much on offense but i figure that will be a year long thing here as we have no talent on offense.

Defense on the other hand is looking pretty good. LB Louis McCarthy = STUD! He is gonna be a good one. Nice game for him, 9 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a FF. The other rookie LB Steussie had a decent game as well and chipped in with 8 tackles. Overall, the team had 5 sacks, off to a good start.

                              Good game Lansing! Congrats...
Considering neither of our teams scored an offensive TD, it was a defensive battle. We gained 350 yards to Madison's 211. Madison held up well in the red zone, as we struggled a bit. Bright side, Bryant Bruce was 28-33 for 278 yards and zero interceptions.

                              GG Madison.

That Mountaineer defense is for real. Surprised and happy to get out of today's game with a win. We were 2/7 on 3rd downs. Might as well punt to avoid the possibility of a turnover with those numbers. Great game, Coder!

We've got a nasty rushing defense going right now (36yds/gm, 2yds/carry) but Ducky coming to town to adjust those stats.
