too bad I don't have 5 first round picks in my offense :P... same as last year, I can't seem to score.. and that sad excuse for a starting QB I have simply can't live up to the Sepulveda legend..

at least my new center got noticed right away

I hope this was just you being as awesome as always Jester, or I'm in for a very frustrating season, where my defense keeps the other team from scoring, but my offense can't do squat..

combine that with the typical chuck and pray 5 bombs completed and the 5 10+ play drives. 4 Portland drives were extended by Warthog penalties resulting in 20 points and with 1:40 left in the FIRST half the Fresno D was rewarded with 'The defense looked very familiar with that play' message on Bauer that apparently means nothing
Yeah, man. The game must have cheated for me.

Chuck and pray again, huh? Answer me this. You attempted more passes of 9+ yards down the field than I did, and on fewer pass attempts. So, your theory is that what you're doing is very clever, and what I'm doing is throwing it deep with no plan. Why does it consistently work for me and not for you then, genius?

I completed 3 passes of 19+ and you say I completed 5 bombs? Magical!

      You're funny.

And I'll help you out since you seem to have trouble with this game. Run blocking is a team effort. It depends not on one lineman. It depends on the other blockers, the scheme, cohesion, etc. to be successful. The guy who gets the KRB just happens to be in the right place at the right time, usually.

Happy with the win. It may be another year of Andrews in the league.

Rookie MLB Desmond Vernon has 3 tackles, 5 assists, 3 PDs. Good start to a career.

Im happy with the start of the seaosn.

Yeah dude your deep passes were all about . There is nothing clever about what you do and say.

I've always found it interesting that there's exactly 1 Key Run Block on each successful run play and exactly 0 on unsuccessful.

I'd like to see "Rezac opens a hole at the line, Yates seals the MLB... Atkins locks onto the SS and no one is gonna catch the RB".

                Yeah. This just blows BIGTIME.

Ask Iowa though, this was like the injury/holding penalty bowl :-/

That's quite the bar to set for the new guy.

It definitely seems as though your defense is being held back by the offense right now. It might be worth bringing in a veteran QB for this season.

Still, I won't be surprised if you're 5-3 the next time we meet in Week 9. You could be in position for the post-season as things wind down.

I'll say! That game could've gone either way (obviously). I had no answer for Downing, and it was the Bryant Turner show in the run and passing game. We had to settle for field goals on two drives inside the 10. Looking forward to the next meeting.

glad we won, Jacobs scorched LA's D and Battle had 133 yds on the ground. I'm really excited about the offense we have built...now all we need is the defense to pitch in and do their part! GG La!

chuckNpray the Warthogs were down 4 scores so they threw deep more than I would have liked.

chuckNpray the Warthogs were rarely in good down/distance situations so they threw 10+ yard more than I would have liked.

If only the Warthogs had a superstud C like Parten. Nope cant be a magic gameplan.

really sucking the fun out of this for me. Obviously cannot compete with teams that have the finances hard coded in their favor PLUS a magic gameplan PLUS a superstud C

Don't forget that darth vader is a seals fan and the dalai lama makes those little tibetan sand drawings of the seals logo. IT HELPS.

I can't wait for week 10 already. The Kobeck, Jeff rivalry is one of the better ones we've had in awhile.
