Actually, after further consideration I think it is time for me to step down.

I just have not been able to give this team the time necessary to keep it competitive and would like somebody else to have a chance to rebuild this team to glory.

Thanks to all those who helped me as this was my first ever dabble into FOF.

I personally love watching teams rebuild. Love watching the young'ns grow. I feel like we just lost a pup from our IFL litter.

Being from the Boston area and growing up a fan of Chicago teams I've felt a connection to King's organization throughout it's history.

After chewing on it for the last 3 weeks, I will not be returning. It's at the point were I really just don't care anymore. I'm not angry or frustrated, I'm just apathetic. Lots of great memories and huge wins, just not enough to make the time invested worth it.

I always said there was 2 types of owners in this league. Those who "get it" and those who don't. I've readily admitted I am in the latter category and for the most part it hasn't bothered me, however.....it seems with the newer patches and pre-made gameplans, that gulf has been widened to "those who win and those who don't". At this point in my life I don't have the energy to continue the ever elusive hunt for the secret key that will win more games. At some point over the last 4 seasons, I just stopped caring. I didn't even put in a gameplan over the last 7 weeks.

I apologize to the next owner for stripping you of pretty much the entire draft. I felt I was 1-2 players away from a championship. I still feel like this is a good squad I've left and they may even have another run left in em. The cap isn't in horrible shape and it's a very talented team. My hope is the next owner will "get it" and win more games then I have.

I'll still check in and harass Vito for his drafts, Jester for being...Jester and generally be.....Jave. But it's time to bid farewell to FOF and the IFL.

I hope I've served Oakland well....despite our lack of rings or trophies.

Sorry to see you go Jave, I was wondering about your status since I didn't notice you on the boards much this season. Like you wrote, if you aren't having fun playing there's not much point in continuing.
