2020 Week #4 Discussion

Madisons defense didnt miss a beat without Horse. They shut us down. We really had to work to move the ball. Sanford threw a lot of dump off passes.
Singleton was nervous to start the game. He fumbled twice, which is very unusual for him.

Wichita at Houston turned out to be an exciting OT game and in the end we were relieved to get on the plane with the W.

I actually thought we were good value for the win although we did nearly let it slip in the last few minutes when Houston threw caution to the wind and forced OT.

The Outlaws are on the up.

Finally ... a win ... at home ... against one of the few teams that might actually be as bad as us. I'LL TAKE IT!

Rogers throws a pick 6 on the first play from scrimmage and I felt another all too typical Toad turnover fest coming on. Didn't happen actually finished +1.

Red zone offense struggled due to my antique game plan and crappy players. Need to run some down there I think. This win shouldn't have been in OT (I'm sure Texas feels the same way)

I know the SS generally puts up big numbers on bad teams but Inskeep is looking like a strong DRotY candidate

Yeah. Well we had a ton of turn overs and he had special teams and defensive touch downs. Just check it out. His AVG Starting Position today was his own 45 lol.

Score 52 points but only gain 372 yards and only hold the ball 32 minutes something must be up. 6 Turnovers I am thinking which was gross.

Bright side Brady Myers threw his first TD pass. A 10 yarder to Sam Farrell early in the 4th quarter.

GG Vito. I thought Downing played pretty well. I was getting tired of watching all your 13 yd gains on short passes (maybe it was my bad defense). Anyway, I have no idea how his bars are tracking, but it seems like Downing may have a future.

I may have won the battle but I'm losing the war! Just this game I lost my big play receiver for the year, my best pass rusher for a while, and my starting RB now has turf toe. This is not cool.

On Downing: I really think I should have installed my offense in preseason-- as he is JUST now starting to show 'signs' and I really think it was my decision to not install the offense until week1 that's been the issue + I keep forgetting these are his FIRST starts.

He's now +2 curr (42/53) and this really is the first game where he commanded the offense like I expected him to; that one year contract may just get renewed now .

After ending a holdout Otis Peterson was left on the bench in favor of journeyman Greg Anthony. The dispirated Mules laid down in the 4Q allowing the Firebirds 17 points and a come from behind victory.

GG Jeffrey ... liking that my defense finally showed up in OT and held you to three and out. Then your 74 yard punt put me on my own 15. But the offense kicked into gear and provided the winning drive. It was nice to see the clutch play of the Vipers in this one.

A tough start for the Seals but with the strength of the Seal's roster, that scenario has to be seeing its final curtain soon. Good luck in future weeks.

As for the Vipers, we need to plan for those dreadful and despicable Beasts.
