GMs draft people who are suppose to be superstars out of college all the time and some don't ever live up to the hype. I paid a FAIR price for 1.2 and there is no way you can call the trade lopsided.

Yea, because the Giants didn't get absolutely robbed in that trade?Originally posted by DakotaGeorge View PostYou are just retarded and don't know how to value 1.2. Most Lop sided ever? not even close? Slightly over paid? Maybe.
I seem to remember the New York Giants Trading 1.4 3.4 and a 1st and 5th the following year to move up 3 spots to 1.1. That is real life NFL. If you dont know what the fuck you are talking about please piss off. My Trade for 1.2 wasn't even the most lop sided of this off season I could think of a couple more trades that were more favorable.

Just because an NFL team makes a move, doesn't make it smart. Look at most of the Redskins moves in recent history.
Let's not forget Randy Moss / Patriots.
Patriots traded the 4th round pick they got from SF when they also stole their 2008 1.7 (in exchange for the Pats 1.28 in 2007).
Vikings then traded their 3rd round pick for Moss, who was released like 2 weeks later.

So in summary, NFL GM's make bad moves too.Steve Beans - Houston Renegades

I was just thinking at least this isn't me getting flak for a trade after the last offseason where I ended up with CB Boyd and a draft pick (1.6) where I selected CB Heath at the cost of lots of draft picks... two 1st's (1.19 last year and 1.20 this) three 2nd's and change..
They helped the team get within a whisker of a bowl game... trades depend on your persepctive, I think you secured the DE that you wanted who is top draw, this allowed you to trade another DE to the Mules for two 2nd round picks that got you two top quality OL players and then you add a good QB prospect into the mix (using the 1.2 or 1.3 pick doesn't matter) seems like an excellent offseason to me..

I completely disagree. Giant's defense won them the Super Bowl, and they were still a miracle catch on an overthrown ball by Manning away from losing.Originally posted by markc View PostThat was a great trade for the Giants. Won them a superbowl.
In 2007, Manning had a passing rating lower than Jason Campbell, Joey Harrington, and Damon Huard. Without the solid team built around him, the Giants probably don't even make the playoffs, let alone with the SB.Steve Beans - Houston Renegades

in reply to your glad your not catching flak. Pfft they dont care about you they want to firmly keep their noses burried in my taint all year round.
They don't understand that the only reason I traded the 4 draft picks was to get strickland. I could have gotten the QB at 1.3 lol. I wanted both. If I couldnt have both I was trading down. They also don't look at the fact that trading the 4 picks allowed me to get Strickland and that allowed me to get 2 very good offensive linemen in the 2nd round like you said.
They don't know how to value a 1.2. Doesn't matter who I draft there. 1.2 has a preset value. According to the NFL Draft Pick Value chart a 1.2 is worth a 1.6 and 1.16 of the same year value wise.
Hell a 1.2 is technically worth 3 late 1st rounders in that same year if you go by the chart. 1.16 1.18 and 1.26 have the same value has 1.2.

while many use the draft value chart, it's not the be all / end all.
You can't reference real football either. Stud players getting traded for mid round picks is normal. I think Baltimore just gave up a 4th for Lee Evans. Someone mentioned Moss earlier.NEWARK BULLDOGS WALL OF HONOR

Nah these guys want to ride my jock all year round. I kinda enjoy the attention. Keep it up guys. lopsided trade too funny. I can see why you will never have a top 3 pick unless you finish that low in the standings.

That may be so but that chart sets the starting point for a picks value. To tell me my 2 1sts 2 2nds for 1.2 was the most lopsided trade that person would be DER dumb.
btw the last time i knew picks in the future weren't valued as much. esp ones you have to wait 2 years to spend. just saying.

you must be DER dumb because I don't have a history of picking in the top 5 LOL. I think this year at 1.3 and maybe last year you would have to do the tie breakers have been the only 2 years Dakota has had a top 5 pick when i have ran them. I mean if you really wanted to talk smack you shoulda did your homework and said history of picking in the top 10 that might have been more accurate.
