I suggest again that we have a little break for a week or so after the season wraps up, especially with it being mid-summer this time around.

I might put it up for a poll but the general response in the past is that a vast majority want to jump right into it.

I am with Jester. Based on the schedule wrapping up on July 31st, that would lead to roughly mid Aug when the draft starts. Personally, I have a love/hate relationship with draft weekend. I love the time when I'm on the clock, but I hate hovering around my computer the entire weekend waiting for that point. When you compile that with what little summer we get up in the North East, it makes it worse.

So I completely back up Jester, and actually think 2 weeks would be a great break. It's not too long where people forget about the league, plus it puts us roughly in line for early September to begin the time consuming part of the off-season.. right when the NFL (should) kick off.

Btw, I am not for a 2 week break at the end of every season. This situation really is determined by when the season ends, and this year it would be very convenient to have the time off. When next season ends around Jan, I don't care about jumping right in.

For all the teams who don't make the playoffs, they already have a 2 week vacation. You add another 2 weeks at the end of the season, that's nearly a month before they return to the game. To long. Instead of 2 weeks off why not just make the first 2 weeks of the off-season an every other stage day? If you consider coaches hiring and stadium proposals, those stages are a real sleeper anyway. That's nearly considered a week off.

I believe I'm in agreement with Jave unless the commish himself needs time off for vacation--which of course is a totally different story considering how much they do for us around here.
