gg king. My offensive game plan did pretty much what I wanted it to do but my defense short my 2 starting Defensive Tackles just got their ass torn up. Glad to cover the spread for the bettors out there though.

God damn Kobeck I wanted to be the one to pin a serious injury on Jave's team this year like I did the last time we played. Something tells me Jave's high cap value team of stars is going down this year. It's okay though he has a pre fabricated excuse for losing now The curse lives on.

Oh well I guess your prediction of VAN winning the division might come true now.

Penalties killed Georgia in this game. Killed drives and gave Montreal 4 points. I thought we played ok, but not well enough to beat the Firebirds.

      GG Chris.

Our running attack finally showed up in the 4th Qtr. which was the difference in the game. We were able to eat up the clock and get the winning FG.

Rookie K Harvey Flynn is now 8 for 8 on FG attempts.

Now off to fix our RZ woes before we face Fresno.

Gutted to lose a close one to Lawrence..

After being outplayed early the Mules started to run the ball to get back into it and when taking a 21-13 lead with just over 7 minutes left thought we might get a good road win.

Should have sealed it when Page missed a 41 yard FG with 1:45 left but to see a 36 yard TD pass (Amos to Houston) and then a 2 point conversion with 40 seconds left was very disappointing...
Lost the coin flip in OT and there was no stopping the Phantoms...

          GG...

            GG Texas,

interesting high scoring game between the two teams. QB Armstrong was shaky in the beginning but got better and RB Ozguner contributed with a TD in the end that sealed the game.

Defense still worries me and lost CB Hickman for a game.

Great game Steve. It's very tough to beat us at home and I think that you guys did a great job. Our return game gave us awesome field position, key turnovers, and the play of Dwight Burger were the keys for victory.
You've got a great team there Beans. You guys are are gonna be tough to beat in your division..
Yea, I knew it was going to be a long day when the first throw was a pick in my own zone. May as well have been a pick 6. Short week I had to tinker with my gameplan but it seemed to be crap both offensively and defensively, will need to work on that more.

I'm at a loss with my kicker. I can't have 49 yard kickoffs, ever. He has a 28 'current' kickoff, but I can't afford to keep him making kickoffs, so if I sign someone to do kickoffs like I did last year, he doesn't seem to develop.

You do some really impressive things with your defense, it was very tough to move the ball. Hopefully I can keep tweaking my gameplan to do stuff like that.

good game and good luck the rest of the way! Glad I won't be seeing you for another like 4 years lol

WOW ... after a tough win vs WV in the season's opening game, this week the Vipers had another hard fought game against the defending Imperial Bowl Champs.

This was somewhat special in that former Pennsylvania QB Jon Cavazos was facing his old team for the first time since he left the Lions two season ago. I was hoping that he would not lay an egg. But he did anyway but this time it was a "golden" egg. Nothing spectacular but the Norfolk offense has never put the offense on the QB's shoulders.

Vipers set a 12th best team performance for run yardage allowed in the IFL record books ... 15 yards allowed.

Hamilton was Hamilton, but was not superman. Good yardage and 3 TDs but only 25-44 and was subject to three sacks.

Still not sure what the Vipers are all about yet. Another tough test next week vs Portland. This opening schedule has been brutal.

Good hard fought game Cy ... we rarely meet ... and good luck in the NC from here on out.

PS ... just checked the injury notes ... dang Cy, need to get your trainer to give the team their flu shots!

Wow, three OT games in the NC west. My game was the only one that wasn't competitive. I couldn't even manage a point on offense. GG Portland, that was about as one-sided as they come.

That sucks Jave, crazy bad luck.

                    I love my offense.

                    Defense is doing great.

                    Good enough special teams.

Hamilton is awesome, but he can't do it all alone when the running game is not there at all. In fact we had -6 yards after the 1st half on the ground. You did a very good job stopping the run game.

Terrible game there. We played well in the passing game and defensively, but the running game was too horrible. Also, I can't believe you put the ball on the ground 4 times but we only recovered once.

Well, it's no big deal but we'll have to show a lot more on the ground next week to beat a very good Tulsa team. At least we're at home.

As for the damn flu, I've never seen a worst case of flu in my FOF career. At least, Hamilton didn't get it

Talking of injury. Donovan is down for the year again. Terrible news for Oakland.

Oakland opened game with an impressive TD drive while Fresno opened with a TO at the Oakland 20.
Donovan led Oakland to the Warthog 18 before leaving game with a groin. Score remained 7-0 Oakland when WR Thomason fumbled a Rhodes reception away.
Schwartz led the Warthogs to the equalizer mid 2Q. Warthogs go ahead 14-0 inside 1 minute of 1Q after an impressive Fresno drive.
Good news is Warthogs force a punt to start the second half. Bad news is Warthogs get flagged and start the 3Q from their own 4. Fresno got into Oksenberg FG range only too see Oaklands Carlson block the FGA. still 14-7 Fresno.
Good news is Warthogs force a punt on Oaklands second drive of this half. Bad news is Warthogs flagged and start this drive from their own 8 - arrugh! Warthogs get a booming punt from Emmons & Oakland gets ball back at their own 38.
Good news is Warthogs force yet another Oakland punt. Bad news the punt goes OOB at the 4 - arrugh! Score remains 14-7 Fresno as the 3Q ends.
Oakland start 4Q with a Schwartz pick and return to the Fresno 3. 1 play later Rhodes finds Wilson for the equalizer. 14-14 score. Oakland, in an obvious revenge move, mauls Schwartz's beautiful face forcing an Oksenberg FG. score 17-14 Warthogs as trainers attend to Albert on the sideline - and women throughout the US hold thier breath fearing the worst from this obvious maltreatment from Oakland.
Wilson fumbles the ball away at midfield midway thru thr 4Q. And that squeel you just heard was all the single women in America screaming as Albert Schwartz returns to the game with a hurried INC. Warthogs cannot capatialize on the field position but at least Emmons pins Oakland at their own 7 late 4Q.
Good news is Warthogs force a punt from the Oaland 9 better news is it is a short punt and the Warthogs are in business at the Oakland 40 late 4Q up 17-14. Oksenberg attempted a 54 yarder that comes up short and Oakland takes posession at their own 44 - well that sucked! Oaklands Burgess tied the game at 17 with just over a minute left.
Schwartz got Oksenberg into positon to attempt the game winning 51 yarder, but it comes up short again with 20 seconds left. And regulation ends with the score tied at 17
Warthogs win the coin toss and take posession at their 41 after a short Burgess KO. Schwartz leads the Warthogs to the Oakland 12 giving Oksenberg another chance at the game winner and Karl delivers 20-17 Fresno final.

nice game Jave, too bad about Donovan but breaking Schwartz nose was just not right

GG Buddha First 3 drives I should have came away with points and only got 3. It's hard to root against Collela. McNeil actually drove down to win the game. I'm shocked....

Nice to see SLC and Oak lose in overtime...and Donovan going down again is good news for us.

Alvin Mann's phone is ringing...it might be Jave on the other line.
