finally some action. We lost. I will place blame on Zach Wynn. Rookies did good.. 7th round draft pick CB Ernie Grant came up with 2 INTs. DE Waldron who had a very disappointing TC came up with 2 sacks a Fumble Recovery and a defensive TD.

          MONKEYPOX!!!

Somehow, the visiting Matadors infected 16 of Vancouver's players with influenza. I don't know how I'm going to field a team next week - I'm just glad this didn't happen during the regular season.

GG Hoosier, looks like you have a good combination with Mallard and Fehr.

Looks like my offense so far -- I got reverses, screens, 5WR, and some power running.

my rookies played well -- really like this draft class

RB Shawn Bradford: 9 rushes for 51 yds

            WR Grant Csonka
            : 2 catches for 31 yards / 1 rush for 9 yards / 3rd down catch/conversion

            DE D.J. Hill: 2 Sacks, 1 hurr, 1 FF

LCB Wayne Burgess: 4 tackles, 1 PD, FR

            +++

            Veterans rocked

ILB Alfred Hayward: 10 tackles after a pro-bowl year ... one of my favorite 3rd round pickups.

RB Bryant 'Deuces' Turner: 15 car for 88 yards, time to put him away until the season starts. His rookie backup looks to have some juice and I need to look at 3rd year RB Rico Grangrave some more---he's starting to pop runs like Maxwell did for me. Maybe another late round gem me thinks .

            oh the excitement is back!!!

wow...Earnest Shannon released...that's a mess...I would have made the same mistake in drafting him...I remember he was high in my cue.

Played in Oakland, CA, weather: 58 degrees, fair, calm.
Fresno won the toss and elected to receive.
                Start of first quarter.
(1Q: 15:00) Cornell Burgess kicked off 79 yards from the OAK30. Touchback.
Fresno: Strong formation, strength is left. The defense is in a 43 and 3-deep zone coverage, keying aggressively on the run.
1-10-FRE20 (1Q: 15:00) Albert Schwartz pass completed to WR Clyde Peko for 12 yards. Tackled by CB Omar Navarro.
Fresno: Goal-Line formation with three tight ends, strength is left. The defense is in a 43 and 2-deep bump-and-run coverage, keying aggressively on the run.
1-10-FRE32 (1Q: 14:18) Albert Schwartz pass completed to TE Harry Unsbee for 12 yards. Tackled by S Leonard Cunningham, assisted by ILB Jon Hawkins. Unsbee gained 2 yards after the catch.
Fresno: Pro formation with two tight ends, strength is right. The defense is in a 43 and strong-side man, otherwise cover-7 zone coverage, expecting the run.
1-10-FRE44 (1Q: 13:51) PENALTY: Oakland was called for Encroachment.
Fresno: Pro formation with two tight ends, strength is right. The defense is in a 43 and 3-deep zone coverage, keying aggressively on the run.
1-5-FRE49 (1Q: 13:45) Albert Schwartz pass fell incomplete, intended for TE Terrell Sperg. DE Rickey Doyle hurried the quarterback into a bad throw. Fresno's Terrell Sperg was hurt on the play. This appears to be a serious hamstring injury.

Out 16 weeks on third play of pro career - lol

                well there goes plan A

I can't gloat, I had 11 players come down with influenza in tonight's House sim, and I lost by seven to a team that hadn't won a game all year.

Kinda hard to compete like that.

I'm running the hell out of Mallard since he didn't have weight training in tc since he didn't sign the initial offer, and Particelli and him look like a decent, not great, one two punch right now. I need a damn fullback.

Was my RB Bernie Proxmire cut by the Commish? I have 53 guys right now so I don't see why he would have been but I don't even know why I'd have had his Player Screen open since he's a 3rd/4th string RB. Strange if I accidentally cut him somehow.

I went down to 59 because last year I had a couple of cuts that were not mine. I had to resign PR/WR Ross - available for trade - because somehow he was cut.

Do you put ice on a serious hamstring injury???

If so then Terrell Sperg will get the nickname "Ice". Makes a good Bermanism. My favorite Bermanism that I did in the IFL was that Mule WR Victor "Reais" Neri - lol

SONOFABITCH. I took him completely out of the depth chart and the game just put him right back in. WTF?
