I basically asked the same question over at FOFC. Here is Bens response:

It's not mentioned in the change log, so it's hard to say with certainty, but nearly all (if not all) of these yearly updates have included changes to the algorithm that determines what contract a player requests. If you're on 6.3b and your commish is on 6.4, it's possible that you may see a contract amount being requested that is incorrect and won't be accepted by the player when the commish tries to import your file. It's always the best practice to stay on the same version as the league commish.

Wade moore then asked this question and quiksand answered:

Just to 100% check - 6.3 exports will work if the commish is on 6.4?

There's one issue here. The patch drops the minimum salaries very slightly, which can foul up the salary cap situation. You could be submitting seemingly "affordable" renegotiations, only to find they don't work if the commish has patched.

I used control panel and removed FOF. Looks like you might have Uninstalled, removed your elicense.

FWIW I removed FOF ran the patch and dropped Matts reshack into FOF root and all is well.

As for the different leagues thing You could always have the executable named FOF_IFL and FOF_Whatever then rename the executable to whatever version you needed for that league, but what a pain.

Man, my heart sinks whenever I have to tweek the version or download a new patch....it never goes simply for me!

I've removed the old version, clicked on the link and hit run

Then I get the following error message:

"The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify it's integrity and try again."

Now I have no game at the moment....aargh!!

No, I just renamed the exe file with an 01 and dropped Matt's in there. I have to remove the entire game?

If so then I am stumped, if not then all I can suggest is to remove program from control panel run the 6.4 patch and then verify 6.4 loads then insert the reshack.

Don't forget to save you IFL pictures - I always forget to do this, and I mean every time. The patch overwrites the IFL banners.

By uninstall you are talking about the uninstall that is in the FOF folder? I only use that when I am removing the elicense to move FOF to another computer. So far I have been able too use control panel for patches,.

Its kinda subtle. I notice it most on the Roster screen. Un reshacked positions and starters are more pastels while reshacked are more primary. Red is still red, but reshacked is red while regular is more washed out looking

Just uninstalled, reinstalled, extracted your .exe...it's the same as before. It's not working. Matt, if ya log on today can ya jet in the chat room and walk me through it.
