Another Don't Bother. LOL. The Libertarians are healthier, not 100 percent but what team is, and I'm hoping we can win another game.

A let down week after the past 2. The game I will watch is Texas/Madison. That may produce a playoff match up for me.

GOTW again. I really cant believe it. I demand a royalty check at this point.

My team is down in the dumps, depleted, and dreading being embarrassed on national TV.

Christ, look at our logos... He's shooting down a fucking bird. I'm the bird.

                seriously

just looking at player ratings of starters on offense, we are very similar. I likley have the advantage, but there are similarities.

Trying to do the best I can with the lousy players the last guy left me. I've been thinking about trading away RB Castillo to get better.

heading to Tunica in the morning. Gameplan in, but I am sure Rex will have hsi way with it like every game since the last patch. Anyway Not expecting much against undefeated Seals, but they are on the schedule so hoping for the best.

That's a great idea! Everytime you get a good player, trade him away for a draft pick, in the hopes you get...another good player....Ummm, yea?

The idea is to get years of quality production, not another good player. If you trade a RB in his 5th year (I forget when Castillo was drafted) his career is already half over. He's got 4-5 quality years left. If you can get even a 1st and 2nd for him then you've got a great shot at 2 legit starters and 20+ years of quality production, upwards of 30 years if you go certain positions.

Doing this consistently gives a GM a deep, injury-proof team with good playoff chances season after season...

Meanwhile a "strike while it's hot" position like RB could be just what a contender needs to get over the hump so these trades sometimes make sense.

PS - I love me some Castillo. I really wanted him in that draft and thought he'd last just a little longer on the board.

Your talking to the guy who has been doing this since 04'. Problem is, the strategy rarely works because once you start getting upward of 4-7 good solid players, they are so expensive you have to trade them or blow your cap all to hell.
