Well, playing backup QB I didn't expect to win, but didn't expect my defense to be that horrid either. GG blah stupid season, stupid injuries. I knew I fucked up by forgetting to do my actual training camp. I always put in extra time to injury avoidance.

I wish the season ended today!!

We're playing better this year, but I don't think we have what it takes to make the playoffs just yet.

We BARELY withstand the friggin aerial onslaught of Chung's "huck n' chuck" offense. He was on crack today to the tune of 300yds 4 touchdowns. I was screaming at the monitor STOP THAT FUCKER. We couldn't do it.
The two turnovers early were the key to this game though, and Donovan and crew took full advantage knowing when you get an opportunity like that you HAVE TO capitalize or lose.
Some props to backup RB Bailey as he was a killer for Texas. His speed and elusiveness were frustrating defenders all day long. While the stat line doesn't show it, every single run by Bailey was at a key point in the drive and they had no answer for him.
HUGE PROPS as well go to Farley for sealing the victory with a CRUCIAL, game winning interception that ended any chance of a comeback.

For the first time in a long time we sit atop the NC West on the back of 3 straight road wins to start the season. It doesn't get any easier though as Orlando rolls into town with rookie phenom Ed Wilkins now leading the team. It's gonna be a battle!

GG Texas, I can't believe we JUST DID get out of town with the W. Certainly not for lack of effort on Chung's part. That was crazy.....

Fresno opens game with an Oksenberg 50 yarder. Montreal fumbles but recovers the ensuing KOR. Montreal starts the game with a 38 yard Cote to Shahade bomb. Cote scrambles for the sticks in the lime green zone for 1st and goal at the Warthog 4. Osborn scores a 1 yard TD run making score Montreal 7-3 mid 1Q. Warthogs are 3 and out on 3 runs and Firebirds answer by marching down the field running and passing at will. Score at end of 1 Montreal 7 Fresno 3, but its not that close as Firebirds have a 9 to 2 FD lead, and they lead in yards 129 to 52.
Warthogs only give up 7 yards on 3rd and 9 setting up Bailie for a chipshot FG. 10-3 Firebirds early 2Q. Another Warthog 3 and out. This game could turn ugly quick, but Warthogs force a punt early 2Q. Undrafted rookie Blevins shows why he was undrafted with a fumble that gives the Firebirds the ball around midfield mid 2Q. Fresno stuffs Osborne on a third and goal from the 1 setting up another Bailie chipshot. 13-3 Firebirds late 2Q. Warthogs waste a Chapman 37 yard scamper by going backwards 20 yards on penalties which pushed Warthogs out of FG range. Firebirds go 3 and out giving Schwartz the ball again with 1:27 left and ball on Fresno 29. Schwartz scrambles for 8 on 3rd and 9 - been that kind of day for the Warthogs. 13-3 Montreal in a half they dominated.
Montreal recieves the 3Q KO and Deboer returns the kick 36 yards to midfield with a chance to take command of the game right here. 11 yard Cote pass on third and 8 for a crucial Montreal 1st down which Cote turns into a 22 yard TD pass. 20-3 Montreal early 3Q, but Firebirds lead 15-5 in FDs, 247-144 in yards and 43-24 in plays. And Snap Chapman was stuffed on 3rd and 3 on Fresnos 1st second half posession, at least Foley had a good punt to put Firebirds on the 13 still early 3Q. Big SAC by Warthog Steed gives Fresno ball back mid 3Q and a decent Schwartz drive sets up a 28 yard Oksenberg FG. 20-6 Montreal, but it is now a 2 TD game after the 3Q. Montreal continues to dominate and Warthogs are lucky game is still competitive.
Fresno holds, barley, on 3rd and 19 to open the 4Q. 1st and 10 at their own 11 down by 14 at home in the IFL game of the week. Wonderful - Fresno called for unsportsmanlike conduct on an INC to newly extended WR Roche, who was injured. Surely the refs should have seen the cheating Firebirds as they dove at Nathan's knees there! Warthogs of course do nothing with the ball. Montreal ball midfield early 4Q and a score puts this game away. 18 yard Cote to Shahade on 3rd and 14. At this point Firebirds are 6 of 12 on 3D, Warthogs 2 of 10. just sayin' Another 3D conversion by Cote give Montreal 1D in the Lime Zone and this game is all but over early 4Q. And however many plays later Osborne runs 2 yard TD blast making the score 27-6 Montreal and I hear a fat lady singing in Fresno. GG Chris Montreal definatly the better team.
Too add insule too injury literally Firebird Osborne rams a 31 yard TD down Warthogs thoat and Fresno SS Fredrickson is down - just great. Of course this was set up by a 4th and impossible INC by Schwartz on the Fresno 31. 43-6 Firebirds with 4 mins left in this debacle. And the string of INCs continue as Warthog WRs are totally out classed by the Montreal secondary. At least Fresno punted on 4th down from their 21 this time - jeezeus.
Roche going down to dubious Firebird tactics really hurt the Warthogs in the 4Q, but the game was over by then. Fresno will be sending Film to Little Rock hoping for some severe IFL punishment for the Firebirds involved!

Montreal kept most everything in front of them and made the field real short for Schwartz. The 16 of 34 was the result of Montreals secondary being totally superior to the Roche-less Warthog attack. And once Chapman running was eliminated from the Fresno threat it just got ugly for Schwartz and the rest of the Warthog O.

Warthogs loose Fredrickson and Roche to Hyperextended knees. IFL should be sending letters to Montreal tuesday - lol

3rd straight game where our offense had to pull a rabbit out of the hat. This was the second time we were successful and now sit at 2-1.

Great victory, BOSS! My defensive line is finally getting to the QB yet I still can't find a way to ultimately even come close to stopping the long pass. On the flip side: Amos couldn't complete poop and Greene would have basically been shut down if not for one long reception.

GG Beeznik. We couldn't stop the run or pass, especially on 3rd down. At least there was symmetry.

Our leading tackler strained his hammy. Not cool man, not cool.

                          Good game Jester!

Didn't think we would win this one. The two turnovers at the end by your squad was the difference. Was a good game to watch. With "Bake" and "Shake" having off games you still were in this game the whole time and had a chance to win it. You got a good team.

Was real pleased the job the DB's did on "Shake". He burned them one time for a long gain but other then that was held in check most of the day. I like my CB's a lot. May not have the gaudy ratings but they flat out play.

Big props to LB Lester Butler who had 5 pass breakups. He is playing outstanding so far this year along with LB Kollars who leads the league with 9 hurries. No sacks yet, but they will come eventually.

We came out big against Salt Lake this week. Graham Kruse is playing very well now in his 10th season. It's a little surprising.

The D played very well too.

GG to Salt Lake and good luck the rest of the way

My heart stopped when Lansing picked up the onside kick after scoring a TD with 2 minutes to go after dominating much of the game. It never should have got that close...back to 2nd half adjustments.
