I tried to give it another year but I'm just over getting the shit kicked out of me year in and year out. I'm sorry for not giving more notice but this isn't fun. I haven't won in years. No, literally, YEARS. At some point you have to WIN games to have some fun, to enjoy yourself. I just can't figure out how to do it. I am retiring today, and forever. I will not be back. Suicane or Matt will get this team a good owner, I'm sure. I will check in with ya all, from time to time. I'm out.

I hate to say it, I am totally on this bandwagon.

No matter what I do, no matter what strategies I try, no matter how I load up the roster, It seems I will never 'get it' and turn the corner on this game.This is not a quick reaction, as I have stated as much numerous times. I feel as though when I lose, it's due to the great gameplanning and preparation by some of our talented GMs. When I win, it feels like total luck. It seems to be even worse with this new version. I eek out surprise wins against teams who should destroy me, and I lose consistantly by 12+ to teams that should not even be in the same league as my roster. It's as though the game is more random than I was ever willing to admit. I give up.

This will most likely be my last season as well.

On a more practical note, I'm in good agreement with Jave and Chris on the seeming randomness of this game. However, I must say that in my matchup with Texas this week - Due to previous injuries and 2 more in the 1st quarter I was without 3/5ths of my starting DBs in my nickle package for most of the game-and not sure if perhaps a LB was forced into playing the 5th DB. Steiner and Watt predictably went nuts. So on some level, that was actually a bit satisfying to me because at least it made some sense. Now I don't really understand how I was held without a sack - but so was Texas against my poor O-line.

I'm not leaving. I'll never leave because in the end it's just a game and the community we've built here is more important to me than a game. That being said I don't enjoy this game at all anymore and can totaly see the viewpoints given. That being said also though I hope you two think about it more. It's just a game. Frustration is for when you've got blue balls or are very hungry, not for computer games.

I appreciate the sentiments, but I've had that for 6 seasons now ;-)

Sui's take is exactly why I havent quit. Win or lose, you guys are great to 'hang out' with. I wish there was a 2 tiered system of a Coach and a GM per team... then at least HE could get the headaches after a game of random chance. :-)

Ah well... I'm sure I'll continue on and just deal with the frustration. Much as I hate my yearly ~.500 record, I guess I would miss drafting, and the comraderie
