A very tough game for you to lose, Mr. UK. I was not liking how we played for 3 quarters especially after you held me to on FG on the one yard line.

Morris' 50 yarder (a second one was taken off the books due to roughing of the kicker) at the end was very risky if we missed as it would have given you field position to drive and tie with a FG. But it went through and a smile came as I knew it put us up by 6. Liked my 4th quarter ball control.

Tracy Norris going down was unfortunate and this proved to be a factor to help the Vipers to force you to punt in the second half.

Your team looked good statistically and outplayed my team in most categories. I think you are very underrated and I feel lucky to get the win ... gg and good luck from here on out.

4 games played and we still have not thrown for a passing TD.

I have no clue what to do to get the passing game going.

We won the game, but also lost a starting WR for the season. I made the mistake of activating Roger Egbert with 1 week left on a knee injury and it turned into an ACL tear. A real bonehead move by me.

On a positve note, our pass rush was really great this game, 4 sacks, 10 hurries, 2 blocked passes, and 11 Qb knockdowns. Also the run game is still averaging over 4 yards a carry.

GG Hartford, This one was a pretty close one. I think your team is better than the 0-4 record makes them out to be.

Warthogs hosted the Renegades and the home crowd got their moneys worth for the second week in a row. Fresno played clean the first half and led 14-7 getting the ball in the 3Q. Houston flipped the field after a stop and pinned the Warthogs at the 6. Schwartz was uncomfortable after the half and a after a few FDs Albert hit Renegade CB Washington at the Houston 29 for the first big break of the game which Houston converted into the tying points on a 4th down play early in the 4Q. Houston again played the field position game and had the Warthogs pinned at their own 3 after an exchange of punts. This is when Albert, obviously unable to plant properly on his aching toe, locked onto Johnboy Peko and Houston LB Duncan read his eyes and picked Schwartz at the 16. ex-Fresno OC, and current Renegade OC, Drew Russell was unable to get Houston a FD and chose to take the 3 point lead instead of going for the 4th and 1. I am sure they will be discussing this in Houston all week. This made the score Houston 17 Fresno 14 halfway thru the 4th.
Albert Schwartz had his foot retaped after the second pick and led the Warthogs on a 5 play 74 yard blitzkreig drive giving Fresno a 4 point lead with 5 mins left in the game.

Surratt kept the ensuing drive alive with another 4th and 1 coversion, this time a pass play to WR Deforne giving the Renegades the ball 1-10 at the Fresno 36 with 3:36 to go. forward 3 plays and Houston has another 4th and 1. this time at the Warthog 27. Second year QB sensation Orlando Surratt dropped back and looked off Deforne throwing to TE Gardner, but Fresno's 40 Million Dollar Man Lawrence Maggard cooley knocked the ball to the ground.

Then Fresno promptly passed on 1st, 2nd and 3rd down. Schwartz converted 3rd and 3, but Warthogs were guilty of an Illegal touch of a forward pass, which upset the home crowd mightely - lol If Fresno don't convert this third and 8 Houston will get the ball back with over 2 minutes left. Albert drops back and hits WR Roche for 8 yards right in front of CB Nickey Doyle and right at the sticks. Schwartz's toe did not seem to bother him on that throw. Finally Adrian Schroder remembered that running the ball was allowed and Fresno ran for a FD to ice the game.

gg Steve. I know you are probably dissapointed too loose being up by 2 TOs and playing solid field position ball. Fresno holding Houston to a FG after the second TO determined the game. Man 4th and 1 was huge. Houston made 2, scoring 7 points and extending a drive, declined 1, scoring 3 points, and was stopped on arugably the biggest play of the day.

              Thanks for the compliment.

              Boy was that close!
Before Norris went down I actually thought we might grab an upset, but it wasn't to be.
In the end the Vipers had the class to change it up a gear in the 4th qtr.
              GG though r00k.

I'm not really sure what we have yet. Burger is on point. Hoover has shown up this year. Jamison has been great with his YPC. Defense has been good against the run.

I don't know where we stand right now with the NC elite. I do think we're knocking at the door atleast.

My Lions continues to roll this week against Vermont and Lansing finally lost a game. Good week for us.

Hamilton is having a fine year. I really like him and I'm happy to see Cavazos back to reality. You shouldn't have left Pennsylvania you moron.

We're back at home next week against Dakota.

                      GG to Vermont

For all those who don't believe that Lansing is the real deal.........think again. I feel lucky to have won this game.

We've really got to learn how to be better on 3rd down. Funny stat is that we are in the top half of the league in YTG on 3rd down @ 8...........and we allow opponents 2nd worst in the league 49.1% completion % on 3rd down

gg morellomre. you've got a good young team there
first 3 games this season we've held the ball for 38, 38, and 39 minutes respectively. keeping the opposing offense off the field with long drives was our best defense. you made some stops and brought our D back on the field. whereas the offense is young and talented, the D is just young and you guys took advantage.

gg, alot closer then i thought it would be (then again, i never expected to win any of these first 4 games )

Totally dropped the ball on the Thursday night game...lucky for me my gameplan was just strong enough to get me the win against the toughest gameplanner in the league. I can't stand playing Cring because he always fields the toughest teams and it's always a battle.
And to make things worse, my second starter in back to back seasons suffers a career ending injury. Last season Claude Sanderson rated 88 went down for 37 weeks and is now a 39, and this week we say goodbye to one of my favorite, toughest offensive line players, Blaine McCormick, who goes down for 47 weeks with a ruptured elbow tendon. It's going to be difficult to replace him.

I'm not going to go on and on about the game, it was ugly and I was lucky to win it. Nuff said.

we finally could hold onto a lead in the end, but it could have been a really close game, if a few plays had turned out differently.
