I hate byes and I hate all of you talking about how excited you are. Bastards. I started gameplanning last night and got all excited with a new plan and then I saw we were on a bye. Sucks.

Montreal should be another good test for us. Markel is off to a great start and defensively, I've never seen us play better. Hopefully, we will play well against a team that looks similar to us, statistically.

Good game Montreal. Could not complete short, medium or long passes against them and we did not really have a run game until we were down by 2 TDs. Basically, my offense shit the bed against a very good defense.

Defensively we played well, keeping us down by 2 TDs even though we turned the ball over 5 times and didn't get a turnover in return.

              wow, what a contest.

In a game that came down right until the end, we somehow found a way to pull this one out.
For all those who don't believe that Lansing is the real deal.........think again. I feel lucky to have won this game.

We've really got to learn how to be better on 3rd down. Funny stat is that we are in the top half of the league in YTG on 3rd down @ 8...........and we allow opponents 2nd worst in the league 49.1% completion % on 3rd down

Thanks! Had to improve on the defensive gameplanning, and we almost fumbled that game away. Can't wait until I can get a running back I like in the draft. Then we'll correct our offensive deficiency.

Offense was revved up in the 1st half. We struggled in the 2nd half. Didnt matter, defense was dominant.

                      Yeah.. what of it?!?! ;-)

Honestly, I did not expect to win this one. The wind was a huge factor. I was scared shitless of Markel, but the windy conditions enabled us to pick him off 4 times.

GG WV. I still cant figure out the logic of this game. Even in a win, it had me pulling my hair out, watching it do the EXACT OPPOSITE of what I wanted in some cases (and no, those plays did NOT contribute to the win ;-) )

On a historical note... has Montreal EVER been involved in a Game of the Week?!?

We are officially bad... Had McNeil starting and was pulled in the 4th quarter. Collela almost pulled off a comeback...

Second guessing over whether I should trade him....

My kicker, Carlos McClurken, at one point was 4 for 10 in preseason. He is now made 11/12, his only miss being 50+ yards.

                              Crazy.

                                GG, DG!

Stanfield and co. fought until the end but a dysfunctional Phantom squad had just enough to hold fort at home.
