    First of all, GG Anchorage

That was some straight up domination by the Clawz. The score was 30-0 at one point, and I don't think that the Lynx crossed the fifty until the second half. It may be early, but this team is sure playing like they belong in the post season.

Jeffery ... dang, the wheels sort-of came off for the car in the 4th quarter for your team. It was a very good game until that time. Also, that RB that you picked up looks to be a good one. Fortunately, Caro has always had problems vs. the Vipers for some reason ... he had three picks today and I remember a game vs. us where he had five picks. Go figure but I am not complaining.

In any case, good luck to you for the rest of the season.

Big plays in the run game help us win another. We have SERIOUS issues in our passing game. It is absolutely non-existent.

I made a few minor tweaks to the gameplan that seemed to have helped my team figure out where the frikkin redzone is and what to do when they get there. It was still a bit sloppy for my taste so I have to clean it up some, but I'm happy to get my first win.
Sepulveda scares the crap outta me so it was nice to keep him in check and Carlson had a HUGE game...that was kinda funny cause I almost moved him around this week to get more production out of him but at the last second didn't. My 4th qtr D was pretty lax....once I tighten that up and get Donovan relaxed and not throwing so many pix we may be on the something here. But before I go giving myself a reach around lets see how we do over the next 3 weeks.

Yeah, we could have done without that Caro meltdown, but the passing game wasn't clicking for us even before that. I had high expectations for my new TE, but I can't seem to get him the ball.

At least I get a bye to figure it out.

            Good game, rook.

GG Vito, you kept Hamilton in check most of the game

              Good game by your defense.

We somehow steal this one. Burger was on point today, however he did have 3 INT's which is rare for him.
Jamison was held in check for most of the game, until he turned it out in the 4th qtr. Very happy to have gotten a win here. I was thinking something might not be going our way

I thought we were on to you when we actually ran the ball down your throat on our first drive...but then we get inside 10 yards and we chose to throw an INT...yikes...A couple of times I thought we could make a comeback...but way too many missed tackles. Was expecting a running game that never emerged and Burger King picked us apart. Couldn't convert the INT's into points...

Reno is in trouble and may not be able to beat Vancouver this year.

                    ops:

5 turnovers against Tulsa... yep 57 points seems about right when that happens.

                    Outstanding ass raping, Tarcone!!

Adding insult to injury Tulsa jumps ahead of LAW on the Points Scored In A Game list with LAW as the opponent... and an injury to my QB as the cherry on top.

Stats-wise I think this was probably the worst Phantoms game ever.

Nice win after being down early. My running game looked good, but it looked good for 1 game last year too and I got my hopes up. Still, 2-1 is better than 1-2.

We were on fire today. To put 57 points on Lawrence is a nice surprise.

Interesting Tulsa tidbit: My 4 leading Tacklers are S Fitgerald, CB Fyie, CB McKenzie, S Porter.

4 DBs lead my team in tackling. Not sure if that is good or bad. Seems to be working.

Second of all... while I expected the Fresno D to be GOOD, I had NO IDEA they were the 85 Bears :-)

Sometimes this game frustrates me to no end...

On top of that, I lost a DT to 'Severe Anxiety'.

After that game, I don't blame him.

gonna try this for the third time - but there won't be a fourth - lol

Not sure how good a D Fresno has, but I tweaked what I thought would help against the run and Montreal got the "familiar" message early 2Q on pass plays. That had to hurt. As for INJs the Izzard injury will hurt some going forward, but at least you know Shahade can catch with a broken hand - lol On to the game:

Fresno takes opening drive for a FG and a 3-0 lead which is the first Warthog lead of 2016! Firebirds fumble ensuing KOR and Fresno promptly does nothing except kick a short FG. Schwartz leads Warthogs to another 1Q FG and a 9-0 lead. Fresno has ran 22 plays to Montreals 5 at this point.

Lara comes in when Schwartz's toe gives out. With 8:42 left in the third the score is 9-0 Warthogs. Fresno has ran 33 plays for 201 yards against Firebirds 6 plays for 7 yards. Probably what Chris was talking about earlier. But this would pretty much even out as the game progressed. Cote leads Montreal to a TD with 1:10 left in the half then this odd play happened:

3-9-FRE25 (2Q: 00:24) Teddy Lara pass completed to WR Eric De Boer for 43 yards. Tackled by CB Fred Marek. De Boer gained 7 yards after the catch.
                                Start of third quarter.

both teams had 3 TOs left and I see no reason why Fresno could not have taken a TO and tried a 49 yarder too end the half - more on this later.

Montreal opens the third by taking the lead on a FG drive. Snap Chapman fumbles on Warthogs first play in 3Q and Firebirds capatilize with another FG drive giving Montreal 13-9 lead and plays ran is now Fresno 40 Firebirds 36. After an exchange of punts Fresno has the ball on their own 7 with 3:24 left in 3Q.

Lara leads Warthogs on an ugly penalty laden 93 yard TD drive and retake the lead. Montreal gets a FD but has too punt setting Fresno up with a 16-13 lead and the ball at their own 23 with 8:13 left in 4Q. And with a chance too win the game Lara leads the Warthogs on a 10 play drive that ends with an Oskenberg 33 yard FG that will give Fresno a 6 point lead - but kick hold specialist Rosenbaum botches the hold giving Firebirds the ball on their own 23 down by 3 with 1:52 left in the game. Cote leads the Firebirds to the Warthog 45 but then Fresno gets a couple of pressures and a pass defended to get the ball back. Then this ugliness happens:
1-10-FRE45 (4Q: 00:38) Renaldo Chapman ran outside the right tackle for -1 yards and was forced out of bounds. Tackled by S Everett Rose. DT Walt Farley knocked down Mitchell Boyd to break up the play.
2-11-FRE44 (4Q: 00:29) Vernon Ramming ran inside the left tackle for 3 yards. Tackled by OLB Roger Delcorio, assisted by S Bart Maestas.
Final Score: Fresno Warthogs 16, Montreal Firebirds 13

Montreal had all 3 TOs and could have tried to force a punt here.

I was not pleased with the EoH/EoG at all in this game. Just terrible clock management by both coaches IMO

gg Chris this was the most competitive game of the week, I am ignoring the Dakota/Vancouver game because of personal bias towards the Warthogs - lol
