We were very fortunate to get the win. The game was very tight - and it seemed like a big difference was # of penalties (7 for Oak - only 2 for Van). I thought Oak might take control after they held us to a FG after a first and goal on the one. I think Oak had the better game plan - especially in the first half it seemed like they always called the right defense. One disturbing trend was that G. Wilson was able to run on us (16 for 90). In the second game last year we totally shut him down but couldn't do it today. Also, I thought we might have had better success passing then we did. I hope that's a problem with my game plan and not on Cornelius Hutton.
Not looking forward to hosting Norfolk next week. GG Oakland.

Be careful Matt. Last time you annointed a running back, i.e. Crespo, he went and blew out his knee. I would wait unitl the division is yours first.

GG, yea same here with the gameplanning, my 5WR attack is way better defended in 6.3a :\

It's only 1 game. I'm pumped about it, but at the same time I'm not going to think that there will be some tough sledding ahead. I've been to this dance before with CJ Rambo. Rambos started out good for us 2 yrs ago and fizzled away. I don't think Jamison will do that, but def not expecting this kind of output every game.

Sanford played his usual good game.
Singleton seems to have caught a fumble bug. He had a bunch in preseason and has 2 more today. I do not like that.

Yep. Tough to win a game where your opponents average starting field position is the 45 yard line. GG Tarc.

Opening games are always a crap shoot. I was lucky that the game liked my game plan over yours ... cause I think the teams are very evenly matched.

Loving the addition of Cavaros this year ... and planning that this upgrade at QB will propel the Vipers to a repeat appearance in the playoffs and hopefully taking them a little further than a one and out.

Good luck until we meet later in the year.

I was just messing with you. Jamison is a beast. I am very jealous. I have to run a complex shared workload just to get a running game. Anytime one of us can knock of Jester it is like a mini Super Bowl. Good win, sorry Jester but you have a target on you.

What? Not everyone's gonna run the pre-season 60% playtime special against The Situation?

                      Well played Iowa.

A good win for the Snipe Hunters as the embarassed Outlaws get run out of town....

Wichita's new season optimism suffers a huge blow as they are outclassed and vet QB Alvin Mann looks his age.

A QB controversy is raging in the Wichita media and on fans forums with no clear consensus on who should start week 2.

It's looking like another loooong season in store......

GG Wolf, we got out early and were able to hold on. Pleased to see Barlow to Pinkney work so well, Becht played good as well. Stephens got hurt early and is out 4 weeks so that's no fun but a win is a win is a win and i'll take it.
                        I luv British womenz.

I was surprised how few run plays your team was playing, considering your ypc was quite high.

I have similar completion percentage problems like you, the difference in the game was just that my QB connected on some of his long passes, and yours didn't.

But I think you have a good team and they will find together. Good luck for the season until our next meeting

Well I am back. Not that you didn't deserve the win but keep in mind...we got behind on our bill and got our internet shut off so I wasn't even able to submit a gameplan. Thanks to Matt for activating our starters so at least we didn't get annihilated. I will check the game out but GG regardless Van.

D'oh! Here I am complimenting your gameplan and it wasn't even yours. Oh well - now I'm very glad I didn't lose the game. Sorry about your Internet troubles and looking forward to the rematch (I think)
