I'm somewhat dissapointed with myself. I guess going into this draft I did not necessarily have a gameplan. It's not always the easiest thing to do picking in the bottom half.
I realized quickly that I was going to need to target a TE. I wanted Jonathan Lee because of his run blocking ability. I would've been ok with any of the 3 TE's left at that point. I talked with the Mules and realized that he too was targeting a TE, but liked Gerhardt. I did a quick check and looked to see if any other teams might be targeting a TE between picks 21 through 30. I didn't think anyone would be interested. So I pulled the trigger.
      Portland then drafted my player.

      So, long story short....
I drafted a long term replacement at RT.
I also liked the C I snagged in the 3rd. Looks like I have my open offensive line holes filled in the coming years.

I've been a big fan of stud TEs for a long time, so heading into my second season with the Seals, I knew I needed to come away with someone from this draft. I didn't think I would be able to match need with value, but Lee dropped to 22.

I think TEs are even more important with the new patch. We can't get away with 15 to 20 yard patterns to the WRs all day, any longer.

I'm feeling good about this draft, though. I've brought in enough guys now to start to feel a bit like this is my team. It's odd for me having only run two teams before this and having had them for so long that there isn't anyone on the roster who I didn't bring in. It's time to get this team it's first playoff win.

he's def a stud. I was surprised that his post draft ratings were as high as they were.

i wanted at least one of the TE's at 26. Run blocking te's like Lee and Morton are even better.

I have mixed feelings about my draft. I was really hoping to get TE Amos Morton - such that I seriously considered trading up to #4 to get him. But, I gambled and lost out. Then, I really wanted CB Jemery Hickman since CB was probably my greatest need - but I thought A.J. Copeland was the best available at 1.8 so I was hoping that Hickman would drop 1.11. But IWC snagged him at 1.10. I wonder if I done it backwards and got Hickman at 1.8 if Copeland would still have been there at 11.
So, I had a little panic (actually, I was at lunch so it was a priority pick) and chose T Zimmerman at 11 (thoughts of ol' Gary Zimmerman!). Zim had slightly better combines than Rezac but it doesn't seem to translate to bars quite like I thought. I'm still having trouble figuring out how to weight the grades/bars/combines/scouts - but I'm pretty sure I did a better job than last draft (which probably isn't hard). It looks like my 5th rounder (RB Brinsfield) may fit well into my stable of middling RBs. Anyway, it was all fun.

I thought that the powers that be drafted the first three picks rather well, the only disappointment being the ilb in the third, but he could easily be masked and a creeper. Definitely worth a slot on the roster, as he shows potential.

Liberty needed a bit of depth in the offensive line, as there were only one RG and one Center on the roster. The line in place is young but very good, Iceman did a nice job with the team, and I think the RT --with his transition to RG showing marked improvement in future ratings as a guard -- had better bars than the og's I saw on the draft board that were left at that position. The CB was a shot at getting some help in the nickle and dime packages, as he has strong bars in zone coverage, and shows good potential. I like his numbers, but then again, tc can change things. The last pick in the sixth was for a qb ... with only one on roster, I needed a cheap clipboard and kick holder, and he got the call.

Overall the Liberty improved with the draft. Now, I've gotta find some mentors to fill in the gaps and to help develop the young'ns. I've been using the patched game in the DFL, and I like what I see so far. I think the game is much more responsive and better ....Mr. Gindin did a good job and a good thing. There seems to be a minor bug, but if you've got a pass catching running back, it doesn't seem to be a bug.

Overall, I like the the draft... especially since the interview process was lost on me this time... no apparent problems on the roster as far as personality conflicts...

I was out when you were drafting at 11, otherwise I would have nabbed CB, Dignan...in the end I drafted a Safety (which were a-plenty in this draft) that I consider a safe but good pick...but certainly should have moved up to fill a need with an excellent CB.

I don't know how pleased I am with this draft. But I do know that i'm gonna live or die based on it's success. To get Barlow I had to give up my first next year and I don't mind that all because I still have a gaggle of 2nd, 3rd and 4ths next year that I can theroeticly use to tighten my team up but by and large my future at QB,RB,WR & TE was acquired during this draft. So if my team is still horrible 4 years from now bump this thread and kick me in the nards.
                    I luv British womenz.

Interesting - that might have been a better pick for me as well (Dignan)

                      • Turns out I drafted some weak boned players. Most are too light and can't bulk up.
