FOF 6.3 Released - Please update for FA1 export

Tarc, sounds like you'll have to re-download all the files for your other leagues. I'd strongly suggest using the batch file method and storing your league files entirely separate from the FOF directories. I simply have "Jester's MP Leagues" (whether I'm actually in the league or not. Sometimes I just like the ability to load up different teams/uni's in a SP game.) as a directory on my desktop - fully safe from anything done to the default FOF storage directories.

If you haven't looked into it having the batch files is like having an icon for each league you're in. 1 click and everything loads correctly everytime. Well worth the time to get it going.

for those of you using gstelmack's utilities, you won't be able to use them with 6.3. I just tried to extract the draft file............... and no can do.
so hopefully you have 2 cpu's and/or something else. Thought I read somewhere that you can make a virtual machine or something like that.

You need to create that key in your registry for the utility to work, and add the value to the EXE-path..

(in my case C:\Program Files (x86)\Solecismic\Front Office Football 2007)

Edit: Strike the above, it won't matter. The datafile-structures have changed, so Greg needs to figure that out before it'll work. For the utility, if someone still has 6.2 installed could run the draftfile output that'd be sweet.

Hmm.. there might be a workaround if you want the utility to work, but it requires manual copying of files each time.

The files need to be copied to the local directory (where they were before the update) each time you have new data. Not sure if that would be needed for the Extractor though, since it seems to do screenscraping and not datafile processing.

The only issue with me sharing the file is that you won't see your interviews.

Draft Analyzer and Extractor work fine without the workaround. If you add the key mentioned in the post by Greg, you should have no trouble running these two programs (i.e. no file movement needed).

If you want to use any of the other programs you might need the workaround though (for example the db-updater thingy)

1) Open Regedit (i.e. start, run, type regedit)
2) Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE by clicking on the name, then do the same with Software in that structure
3) Right-click on the Software icon and select "New->Key"
4) When presented with a "New Registry Key 1", type in Solecismic
5) Repeat the process, this time isnide Solecismic, and set the name to Front Office Football 2007

At this stage, you should have a structure similar to this:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\Solecismic\Front Office Football 2007

6) Now left click on the Front Office Football 2007 - like "folder" (which represents a key"

7) In the right area of the of Registry-editor you should now see a blank key-value. Ignore that, and below it (or somewhere in the blank area of the right side), right click and in the context menu select New -> String Value.

8) Name the new value "Full Path"

9) Double click on the Full Path item and in the little textbox, paste in the full path to where the game is installed.. in my case this value is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Solecismic Software\Front Office Football 2007\

If you have a non 64-bit OS (like Windows 7 32-bit, or Vista 32-bit), the path will most likely be:

C:\Program Files\Solecismic Software\Front Office Football 2007\

Once this value is entered you're all set.
