    Warthogs locked and loaded!

It is a privilage to be playing in the HoF game honoring innagural IFL HoFer James Tart. Early IFL teams knew they had to stop sweet tart but no matter what they knew they could not shut him up. Tart backed up the smack with his play on the field ammassing over 17000 all purpose yards during a 9 year career.

I can probably trim a day or 2 off of the pre season schedule to be fair. Maybe even start the season with a double week. Thursday and Sunday games. I dunno, just seems like a long time. From Game 3 pre season to Week 1 is 2 weeks real time.
      I luv British womenz.

We don't really need no off days. Just for shits and giggles it would be nice to turn injuries off and just sim the whole enchilada.

I don't like the idea of racing through the preseason UNLESS injuries were off because say u have a guy, my QB Donovan for instance who gets a 2 week sprained ankle. If we were to run the sims concurrently and he starts the next weeks game, theres a HIGH chance his 2 week sprained ankle could turn into a 9 week broken ankle or 27 week torn fibula etc etc...
I'm NOT a fan of skipping midweeks just for this reason. I use the midweeks to move smaller injuries to inactive to prevent bigger, season ending injuries. I like the idea of say, Mon-game, Tues-midweek, Wed-game, Thurs-midweek etc....

Of course if we were to do this you would have to start with pre-season week 1. I think next season we should do this in the league. This is a long stretch to go through with meaningless games. I don't even gameplan for these games because most of my starters are not even playing. A gameplan is pointless with your scrubs.

Only thing i do like about pre-season is having some fringe player on the team who may perform well and i might keep him on the team. Simming possibly might not let me see what he offers but oh well. This is just the most boring part of the whole season and it seems to take forever. Just my 2 cents..

Pre-season is the only time of year to test out your non-starting QBs. Though there are more, that reason alone makes it exciting for me.

I expect this talk each season but with the release of 6.3 it surprises me that GMs don't see these 4 games as a gold mine of info before gameplanning for week 1.

I hear what your saying, but at the same time, not sure how much reliable info your gonna get with the majority of teams playing "hide the stars". I just went through and inactive'd the majority of my top players. Preseason just to risky.

I say no off days - well saturday unless it could be a midweek. IFL has never turned off injuries and 2017 is no time too start IMO.

I use preseason to determine those last few roster spots. Right now Warthogs have a FB battle with Draftee Kreen vs undrafted Raflaski. Now they both suck but one of them has too make the roster, at least until everyone drops to 53 - lol

I think we should just sim 5 straight days with no midweeks. With a 60 man roster and reduced min position requirements, it's next to impossible to not be able to make your lineup correct.

would get stinking preseason over in a week instead of a week and a half - I like it. Possibly an off day before week 1 midweek to make that cut too 54???

                          before we unstick this.........

We def need to change the offseason sched so that we can smash out preseason games faster. I was thinking we'd be playing week 1 reg season on sunday........but then just realized we've got another week still!!!

Agreed.. every year during the pre-season I think it's slow as hell, and plan to mention something when the next schedule is released, but by then I forget. This is why we need a regular 'rules committee' or something that has it's section in the forum to hash out league rules regardless of when it is in the season.

Granted that's not a specific 'rule', but it's definitely something that can be talked about so when next year rolls around, we don't do the same stuff over and over. For example, we continue to have PS week 1 and 2 on separate days but i'm pretty sure no team that plays in week 1 ever plays in week 2, right?

this year we could've simmed week's 1 and 2 at the same time, but it doesn't always work out that way
