Despite having a pretty mediocre overall record, this is my one chance for the next 3-4 seasons to be the 6th team to run the gauntlet.

Phantoms head about 30 miles down I-93S to face their Massachusetts counterpart, the Dragons. Boston boasts a very talented RB who somehow escapes me as being a #12 pick only 3 seasons ago and a defensive line to be admired.

Good luck! Know that a Tulsa victory guarantees a Phantom pick about 3 or so spots higher in the draft at a fairly important (top 10?) area.

IMO historic records, though they may come at non-climactic points in time, are more important than any others. Despite anything else being the 6th team to beat the field is a monumental achievement!

We have an interesting matchup against WV. With little to no history between us it's really a crap shoot. I think we've caught the defending champs at the right time as they've lost 2 of their last 3.
As much as I'd love the upset win here, I don't think it's gonna happen. Too much firepower on that team.

boy did that suck. We were able to grap the loss from the claws of victory!!

I still can't believe how we lost.

Markel was on point at the end, and i just had this gut wrenching feeling that we would find a way to lose. That's what separates Imperial Bowl Champs to wild card teams!!

I saw, as i was watching my game, that Boston was way up on Lawrence. Maybe 2 or 3 TD's. When my game ended I saw it tied at 31 going into OT. Then Stanfield did what he does and won the game for the Phantoms

Your defense played great for the first three quarters. But then our offense took it into another gear. Hopefully, we can end this crappy play as of late and beat Hartford and take the division. As it is now, we are the AC's No. 1 Seed. We need to keep it to make a run.

GG Oakland. What a sloppy, sloppy, penalty filled game on both sides.

This sets up my 'Super Bowl' next week. Considering the Firebirds will never make the playoffs ever, this game is as close as I'll come... A game that will (surely temporarily) decide first place in the division.

What a pain in the ass division I'm in. It seems like the top 3 teams KNOW they probably wont make the wild card, so every week it is a scrap fest for the top spot. Every time Im supposed to win a game, I lose, and the teams above and below me lose. Every time I win, the teams above and below me win. Just enough to keep me reeled in, and more than enough to break my heart come week 16. Why can't I be in a division with guys who suck slightly MORE than me? (Which might be impossible)

                          I'm done ranting :-)

We force 4 first half turnovers, but it's still not enough to knock off the Phantoms.

Once the game went to OT, I knew whoever got the ball would win as both offenses were able to move the ball at will for most of the game.
