I been quiet for a few weeks. To be honest, I got foreclosed on and we had to make a quick move to another house and about 3 days to do it. Then when we got here, we had about 800 boxes and shit scattered all over and I had to take some time off to get my house and life back in order.
A seperate thread wasn't really necessary to say this, however I want to say that Obama's loan modification program for home owners is a fucking joke. Giving these companies billions of dollars to help the true struggling homeowners, yet not requiring the companies to actually do anything about is absurd. We tried about 3 dozen times to talk to our mortgage company (Wells Fargo) about working something out...ANYTHING, and they just gave us the runaround. FUCK THEM.
They told us at first, we didn't make enough money and there was nothing they could do. So we created a plan that would free up some money and we would sell our 2nd car etc...Their plan? Our current mortgage is around $1550 a month. Their plan was to raise our mortgage to $1780 a month to pay off what we were behind in. WTF? If we are struggling with $1500 how is raising our fucking mortgage going to help?
So the other plan was if we made a bit more money they would throw the amount owned on the back of the mortgage and we could refinance for a lower interest rate. But yea, we never knew how to get that plan, they refused to offer any plan that wasn't "pay us up in full".
/rant off...but seriously. Obama's plan isn't worth a fuck. It did nothing to help us. Fill out all this paper work and pray your mortgage company works with you? What kind of fucking plan is that?
