I think we really need to hold off any quick answer on this, some tests people are running on the FOFC boards are turning up some interesting results.

    2003 IFL AC East Runner-Up - Wildcard 10-6
    2004 IFL AC East Runner-UP - Wildcard - AC Runner-up 10-5-1
    2005 3rd Place AC East 6-10 2007 2nd Place AC East 8-8
    2006 3rd Place AC East 7-9 2008 2nd Place AC East 9-7
2009 1st Place AC East, Imperial Bowl Champions 13-3

That is part of the problem. I got the game a day or so ahead of the IFL draft and really have not played single seasons much. Tried a couple of times but not much time for it.

I just assumed everyone else was doing the same. When I read this thread I knew immediatly that that was NOT the case.

Sounds fine too me. Not sure what exactly you mean but I have no problem with any solution devised.

IFL could just impose a lower CAP for the Mules and I guess that would cover it. Whatever is fair.

        My Ideas..

Well here would be my ideas..

As previously mentioned free agency anything goes because their is open competition for the players.

        Renegotiating Rule:

You have to offer the player his asking price in salary each year.

For every dollary you offer under his asking salary you would have to add that on top of his requested bonus. So if a guy was requesting a 3 year deal for:

        1 mil bonus
        1 mil first year
        1.5 mil sec year
        2 mil third year

        you could offer him
        1.5 mil bonus
        1 mil first year
        1.5 mil sec year
        1.5 mil third year

This would allow you to even the cap hit some and still not cheating by using a glitch.

We also should look into rules on RFA's. What is the rule going to be? For example I have L. Deason who is asking for a huge multi-year contract which I am not going to give him. I have been trying to get him signed to a one year deal only and obviously the bonus money is going to be less than he is asking for.

Has anyone else used the glitch

Are there any other teams that have used the glitch this offseason?

            5 percent rule

I just read Witcita's 5 percent rule, I feel this is fair also but would have to be formulated for people who change the amount of years on the deal compared to the requested amount of years.

Well now that 5b is out we don't have to worry about anything. All thats left to decide now is punishment. Kobeck is willing to take punishment so I think that once thats decided on we can get back to normal.
              I luv British womenz.

I know of seven contracts that will need to be renegotiated next year. That will be my recommendation to Cringer.

We could disable his PMs for a month. Now that's a real punishment.

Sov, could you send me the names of the players your referencing? It would help to actually see the results before I cast judgement.

I would say they have to be renegotiated.

I havent seen all 7 but just that number alone lets me know that this was done with knowledge of the glitch. I would vote for all players who were signed on the glitch/cheat should have to be renegotiated next season.

The facts are that the contracts the Mules renogiated were done within the game and the first I heard that this was not routine was on this thread.

Realize that I attempted the same thing with Free Agents and did not succeed. I did not correlate the success in renogiations to a anything because I tried the same thing and was unsuccessful in the Free Agent market.

When I realized that the actions of the Mules front office were not common I immediatly notified the IFL and invited the investigation. I want this situation normalized also.

What the Mules knew and when they knew it have in fact been laid out. Choose to disbelieve if you must.

None of us know the future downside of this situation. Possible holdouts, retirements and dibilating injury and other unforseen situations could in fact accelerate the CAP forward. I don't know and neither does anyone else.

Whatever corrective action is deemed necessary will be acceptable to the Mules.

Those contracts were in fact available to all IFL owners and could have, and I wish they had, been investigated sooner. (note that I am aware that I could have looked at some other teams renogiated contracts myself so this critisim is directed at myself also) It was the Mules who turned themselves in to the IFL and the Mules want this situation corrected also.
