Phantoms head into SLC to see what this new QB hubbub is all about.

And wonder for another week if Newark will lose a damn game.

I finally got a gameplan in on D, been Rexed for first 3 weeks and it was just awful. I am not predicting anything except it will NOT be D by Rex this week. Just didn't see any downside too trying some things out.

GL Boston, but not too much. lol

Going into Texas for 1st place in the division. Im hoping my offense starts to gel. I think i have adjusted every game trying to get things to click.
Texas is tough as always. One thing im real happy about is the retirement of Money. Makes life a little easier.

Well that was easily the most embarrassing display of defense my team has ever done. Only one non scoring drive for Montreal. We gave up 39, and it *easily* could have been more had I not held them to 6 FG's. I'm going to have to strongly evaluate my gameplanning

We held the undefeated division leaders to 50yds and 0-6 on 3rd downs in the first half ... 2 fumbles, a blocked and a missed FG kept it sorta close ... D played well in the second as well but CLE Clawz back to tie at 14-14. Not a problem though we score a TD to go up 21-14 and then .....

4Q: 05:54 Devin Hanson kicked off 67 yards from the WIC30. Percy McGarity returned the ball 97 yards for a TOUCHDOWN! Wichita 21, Cleveland 20

Not a problem though we score a TD to go up 28-21 and then .....

4Q: 01:12 Devin Hanson kicked off 65 yards from the WIC30. Percy McGarity returned the ball 95 yards for a TOUCHDOWN! Wichita 28, Cleveland 27

CLE adds a FG after a Scott pick and we lose despite playing a great 2/3 of a game!!!

                      GG CLE and Happy Birthday.

Good thing I don't take this seriously.

I guess the positive is holding a team to 222 YFS (and 270 in returns) has really improved our defensive rank.

GG Pitt Power....er Penn Nittany Lions, whatever you are. GG Penn.

Bad passing on 3rd downs, pass rush wasn't strong enough, otherwise this game seems to be fitting an overall pattern of close loss, and losing late. Oh well. I expect more of Les Rogers though at this point, so I need to break out of the saved game plans and tweak something just for him I think. He just doesn't fit the medium passing mode I usually get locked in on.
My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

After last weeks frustrating loss, I hoped that switching back from the run heavy attack of last week to a more balanced attack would give us a chance. It seemed to work well, as their run stuffing D was surprised on a few occasion by our first down passes. It feels good to get a win over an opponent who I was convinced would destroy me.

That being said, I played a little drinking game.

                            Everytime I saw:

"(Houston) is throwing into double coverage
                            (Houston) makes the catch"

I downed a show of vodka.

I am now blitzed off my ass...

Makes it even funnier is we inserted McGarity into the #1 kick return slot this week. Go figure.

We definitely won one we should have lost. Tough one to lose Wichita
