Wow! Fun game to watch. 37 yard FG breaks a 21-21 tie with no time remaining. The game was very close in all aspects. GG Cringer.

WR Phil Holder has been a very pleasant surprise. Need to get Kim Newman's big play ability involved.

I can't complain too much, my team played fairly well. The late INT didn't even give up points so I can't point to that. Rogers got going this week at QB. Defense wasn't horrible. Just a close road lose against a solid team.

GG DDT, and good luck in a tough division.
Not getting points off that INT is one of the things I was alluding to when I mentioned Newman's absence. We're fine in the red zone; we've been 6 times and came away with 4 TD's and 2 FG's. Excellent. It's the 20-30 yards before the red zone where we struggle. 3 drives started in LR territory and we get 7 points. Awful. I expect the passing game to be erratic. Winston Scott has the pocket presence of a turnip. The struggles with the running game puzzle me. Tracy Norris had something like 300 attempts and 50 10+ gains (several of the "they finally catch him" variety) last season. He's been solid this year, but no big plays. Last year he was electric. The defense is playing about as well as can be reasonably expected. This team can go either way for here. If our opponents continue to begin drives 65 yards from our endzone we'll be picking in the top 10 again. A few big gains a game by Markel/Newman/Norris and we could make a deep run.

... and turnovers, don't even get me started on turnovers.

now if I can just figure a way too keep the opponent under 30 points so california has a chance
Yea, this was the battle of who has the worst defense. My defense stunk it up all over the field but my offense managed to do just enough to pull this one out. After embarrassing himself last week Donovan has a strong game throwing for 268yds and 3 touchdowns, and Wilson averages almost 5 yards a carry running for 108yds and catching 7 passes for 44 yards and 2 touchdown passes in his second ever start. Kicker Jorden seals the deal on 4/4 kicking to redeem Oakland after last weeks thrashing by SLC.

My offense is getting closer. Scoring actual touchdowns is encouraging, but we need to figure out the defensive side of the ball.....I might have got lucky this week but the SLC game shows me I am no where close to the big leagues yet.

Yep good-game Argot. We came out flat as hell and couldn't get our off. going early...Reno had a chance to go up 24-10 but we adjusted defensively and turned it around in the 2nd half. Yes!!...Our defense finally had some picks with olson and wilhelm having key ints in the 2nd half. CB Benson had a good day with 3 pass-defs and Sato and IT Hertz helped get pressure on Collela. I knew Castillo would kills us and he did but not too bad. If Collela and Castill can keep Reno's offense balanced they could be hell for opposing defs. Watch out for them if they can get hot...

P.S. Sucks that we lost wr hanks for seven weeks just as he looked to have turn the corner in helping our down-field game.

Devils did not get lucky, handled the Heroes.

California made a couple of stops, finally, and had a good fourth quarter. Even if Heroes get that late TD, Oakland was a FG away from winning and the Devils had all their TOs and plenty of clock.

GG Tuffy! I didn't expect to jump out to such a lead in this one. Very surprising victory in such fashion.

As I see Vito posting every hour or so it seems since I left Seattle I'm thinking Jave & Vito together will be filling a lot of the activity void left by HA's absence.

Yea no shit. Time for the Ol' school shit to get back on track. It's good to have the SLC/Oakland rivalry heating back up. It's one of the top 3 in the league. One of us could be undefeated and the other winless and you can bet the winless team would thrash the one heading to the playoffs. All bets are off when the Devils and Stallions run onto the field.......
