There's no fucking point whatsoever to drafting or signing a stellar defensive backfield. The game doesn't even factor in how good they are. IF you are facing a good QB/Receiver combo, your toast. This needs a serious patch. Seriously, is the game even bothering to see how good the defensive players are?

GG Tulsa. I feel good at what we were able to do in that game, but I am sick to my stomach on how it ended. I will wait for you to see it Tarcone. But I will say there is some investigation going on and we are looking into any players that may have a gambling problem.

Wow, how did we win after gave up 200 yards rushing, went 1 for 10 on third downs, and turned the ball over once (and did not force any ourselves)? We'll take the win but 2-10 Houston put a big scare in us. Good game Houston.

And for the first time in a long time at this point in the season we are No. 1 in the division and if the playoffs ended today, we'd have the second seed and a bye.

          Portland 34

Let's see, Iowa had lost 6 in a row. Portland had won 5 in a row. And Portland scored a TD in the third quarter against Iowa to lead 31-7. Who's gonna win the game?

Iowa City, of course. But it gets even more bizarre. 3 of 4 times Iowa scored a TD, we go for two. All of them fail! The one PAT attempt succeeds.

So it's late in the 4th quarter, Iowa leads 32-31. Portland kicks a FG with 1:19 left to go ahead 34-32. Iowa gets the ball back and kicks a 41 yard FG with 14 seconds left to win. A 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against Portland helps keep the final drive alive and makes possible a really odd outcome.

Wow. That was a crazy ending. Although, I want the refs investigated again as well. A little more home cooking for you. 10 penalties, thats plain ugly.
I cant believe I went for a FG with that much time at the end. But I guess my guys knew your QB was on the take. I probably didnt deserve to win that one, but a win is a win.
Toby Torres is a great pick up by the way. He is a playmaker from the DT spot. But today his brother, SLB Rex Torres was the star.

            GG Pirates

WE ARE IN 1ST PLACE!!!!! And we tied our regular season record for most wins. Next week at home against WV we go for the tie for most franchise wins in a season and break the regular season record for wins.

Odd outcomes are the rule today. Tulsa kicked a 30 yard FG with 30 seconds left on 2nd down to tie the game. Dumb. I didnt have any timeouts, but I could still get a couple pass plays in. Then Orlando passes on the 1st play from their 8 after a 5 yard KR. Orlando ran most of the day. Hanks promptly throws a pick to set up our game winning FG.

Of all the things that need a patch, this is the area that should be a priority for sure. I do not see any relative correlation to a good CB's contribution.

Holy Shit!!! What a game! Somehow we drive 98 yards for a game winning TD in OT when our best offensive play the previous 70 minutes was a 47 yard fumble-rooskey for a score.

My defensive players must want to kill the guys on offense at this point in the season.

Budda ... good game ... I felt a little cheated with the blocked FG for a 70+ yard TD, but that's part of the game. With that said, I still would prefer a play like that any day instead of the bullshit of 12 penalties and -90 yards that I had to endure last week vs Little Rock. That simply was unbearable.

Now it looks like we are both in a fight to get a playoff berth at this point. This to me is the fun part of the season when each game means so much. Good luck to you here on out.

I'm very frustrated by this part of the game. I have the worst pass defense in the league. I have 2 great pass rushers and 2 great corners. Every week I get shredded. This week we gave up approx 170 YAC yards, with a lot of these balls thrown into double coverage. Today hurt, as it's been a culmination of 3 straight games where my offense blows and my defense is nonexistent. I'm almost tempted to just rex everything. It can't get any worse............or can it? lol

We should have won this game, it swung on a fumble return td when we were up by alot.

Of course we were playing our D for the last game as I had either forgotten to upload or messed up the file. I had one ready with adrian craig not playing..as he has one of those niggly knee injuries.

Can't take it away from Iowa though, that was a hell of a comeback. GG.

lol I have no idea how I lost that either, but welcome to my season. My defense actually played really well, with one of your TD's coming off of special teams. I don't understand the coaches play calling towards the end of the first half, but it's not the first time i've seen weird play calling towards the end of a half.

I also didn't like later in the game being first and goal at the 7 and it goes to Timmerman instead of my #1 RB for 3 straight plays.

Right now, this is the only league I'm in where my pass coverage isn't that good, and this is by the best defense and secondary I have. I've bitched about this since the patch from 2007 where Jim opened up passing offenses to be able to mimic that which the Patroits where doing last year. This league, however, has high pass percentages as a whole than the other leagues I'm in.

Overall, IFL teams are completing 65.2 percent of their passes and no team is completing less than 60 percent of their passes, which is remarkable. The other leagues I'm each have at least two teams with sub 60 completion percentages. Some leagues have 5 or 6.

I'm in five leagues, and I'll run down the overall completion percentage, yards and yards per pass play as well as some other stats.

                                Code:
League	Att	Cmp	Pct	Yards	Yds/C	Yds/A	Avg/GP	Rate	PPly	Defn	OpPDPct	GP
                                IFL	12720	8295	65.2	93895	11.32	7.38	244.5	95.1	13384	1360	43.3	384

                                RNFL	17260	10909	63.2	119507	10.95	6.92	233.4	88.1	18369	1802	47.8	512
                                PFL	15021	9677	64.4	102581	10.60	6.83	229.0	88.5	15860	1516	43.7	448
                                eNFL	15332	9641	62.9	100746	10.45	6.57	224.9	83.5	16282	1597	47.8	448
The only thing I can think of that may explain why the IFL has a little bit more success passing the ball is because this is the only league that used The College Years to create draft classes. We all figure/know that there are hidden ratings for players. What if the The College Years created players (defensive backs) with hidden ratings that are worse/better than what the game itself creates when it makes a draft class? Maybe as the college years players are phased out, things will return to normal a little bit more.

But as a whole, this is the only league where I feel that I have no control whatsoever over what my secondary does on a given week. The other leagues it seems what I do works well.
